Here's one for the book lovers! Do you know that Judy Blume owns Books and Books on Eaton Street? You'll see her in the shop from time to time.

If you happen to miss her, she's still happy to autograph one of her books for you. Just ask one of the clerks at the register and they will fill out a form for you. They'll ship it to you at home once Judy has signed it!

Do not let the exterior or interior fool you! B.O.'s Fish Wagon might look like a pile of junk from afar, but it's been featured by Bobby Flay and was a hangout for the Coral Re**er Band for many years. You should have seen what it looked like when Jimmy Buffett visited on an episode of The Today Show in 1986! An actual tiny little shack.

People love their cracked conch sandwiches and grouper sandwiches. FYI...now BYOB only (get some cold drinks to go from Pepe's across the street)

If you’re in Key West late at night and craving pizza, Mr. Z’s is always the answer. Their slices are hot, cheesy, and taste even better after a night out. The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, making it the perfect stop before heading home.

But don’t sleep on their subs—they’re huge, flavorful, and perfect to grab for lunch on the way to Fort Zachary Beach. Pizza by night, subs by day—Mr. Z’s never disappoints. 🍕🍕🍕

Mallory Square is surely the most well-known location to watch the sunset in Key West. 🌅

However, there are plenty of other places for perfect sunset viewing, especially if you want to enjoy it without a crowd:

🌅 Fort Zachary Taylor Beach (if you happen to have been there earlier in the day, save your receipt and you can return later!)

🌅 A sunset kayak tour

🌅 Truman Waterfront Park. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the US Coast Guard Cutter Ingham Museum, also located here, hosts a sunset happy hour.

🌅 A sunset boat cruise.... there are lots to choose from! Check out Peak Charters for an awesome trip. 🥂

The Key West Bar Card: My Favorite Money-Saving Secret

If you’ve followed along with some of my posts, you’ve probably seen me mention the Key West Bar Card. Every time I do, I get questions about it—so I thought it was time to give this little gem its own spotlight.

Honestly, I don’t even remember how we first learned about it, but I’m so glad we did. It’s one of those things that just makes sense if you like to enjoy a few drinks while you’re in town. Here’s why:

💳 It pays for itself after just two drinks.

🍹 You get buy one drink, get one free at multiple bars and restaurants.

⏰ You can use it once per day at each participating spot.

📅 It’s good for a full calendar year.

👯 Each person needs their own card.

🛍️ You can buy them online or pick one up locally—we usually grab ours at Kwest Liquors on the 700 block of Duval.

So, how do we use it? Well, let’s just say it comes in handy for everything from lazy brunches to sunset cocktails. A few of my go-to’s include:

🥂 Morning mimosas at Pepe’s

🍹 Frozen mango mojitos at Two Friends

🍺 Cold Coronas at Salty Frog’s

🍹 Bloody Marys at Ram's Head Southernmost (with their amazing DYI Bloody Mary bar!)

🎉 And here's some awesome news! The newly re-opened Smokin' Tuna is accepting them!

It’s such an easy way to stretch your vacation budget without feeling like you’re cutting corners.

There’s something about Two Friends Patio that just feels like Key West. 🌴🎶 (My go-to drink here is the frozen mango mojito!)

Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it’s one of those spots where the food, music, and atmosphere all come together perfectly.

It’s also one of the best places on the island for karaoke ! 🎤
There’s something about Two Friends Patio that just feels like Key West. 🌴🎶 (My go-to drink here is the frozen mango mojito!)

Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it’s one of those spots where the food, music, and atmosphere all come together perfectly. The open-air patio keeps it casual, the seafood is always fresh, and the live music makes it easy to linger a little longer than planned.

It’s also one of the best places on the island for karaoke — you might just find yourself singing along before the night’s over! 🎤

If you haven’t been, it’s tucked away on Front Street, just a short walk from the Historic Seaport. Definitely worth a visit next time you’re in town!
