It is with great sadness and remorse that we have to say Finn earned his wings yesterday.

He died peacefully, his little old body just gave up. He spent his last night asleep in Janet's arms.

We don’t know what his early years were like. He was fostered from the Englewood, FL SPCA by Kandy Kasser. Upon hearing about the death of Alvin, she called to say she had a cat to share with the Angelina. She knew he couldn’t replace Alvin, but it was a space he could fill.

His years at the Angelina were great. He made so many, many friends.

Some of you may remember Goober. The day we buried her, Brad, a guest of ours, wrote this beautiful poem that we want to share. If memory serves us right, it is based on an old Indian poem.

Rest In Peace Little One

Do not stand at my grave and weap,
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints in snow,
I am the sunlight on the ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain,
As you awake with morning’s hush,
I am the swift up flying rush,
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I did not die,
My spirit is still alive.

This one is it, folks - it's officially LAST CALL! WE MADE IT! WE ABSOLUTELY MADE IT!!!! Today marks the official end of the 2021 hurricane season! Thankfully, we made it through unscathed - now it's hurricanes in a glass for the next 6 months, until the worry begins again! Yahooooo!!!!!!

It's Happy Hour on National Cake Day AND it's the Angelina Facebook Fairy's Friend, Susan's, birthday, so we're going to celebrate all of them all at once! The only thing truly better than cake is our friend, Susan - with a glass of bubbles, to help wash it all down! Raise a glass to Susan, show us what you're drinking and enjoy the weekend! CHEERS!

Figures we'd be setting the Thanksgiving table when you know who makes an appearance and commands all our attention! He usually picks a nice, warm lap spot for dinner - ON the table is out of the ordinary! Finn wishes you a safe and happy Thanksgiving, hopefully reunited with loved ones!
