Aloha Kamaole Sands Owners,
We are well into Phase I of our most current pipe project...the descaling of our underground 4" pipes. This phase is going well, and we have not encountered any problems with the pipes which have been descaled to date.
As noted with you a few weeks ago, we will begin Phase II of the project on approximately April 12, 2021. The schedule is set, and we are very sorry if any of your guests are inconvenienced. In order for us to complete this very important project which will allow for years of clear pipes and position us to go ahead on other phases, we must keep the set schedule.
As a reminder, we will enter your unit per the schedule and cut two small holes to access the pipes. One of these holes will be in the front bathroom wall directly behind the kitchen sink; the other will be either under the sink in the Master or in the hall alcove. The location is dependent on the pipe lay-out in your unit. This work will take 3-4 hours. The drywall repair will follow behind the descale process and should take about an hour. The unit will be left ready for paint which you will need to schedule at your convenience.
As happens with any schedule, life may intrude, but we will stick as closely to the schedule as possible. This project is vital to the first-floor unit owners and we much appreciate everyone's flexibility.
