Sleeping Honu on Maui 🌺

One of the most special sights in Hawaiʻi is spotting a resting Hawaiian green sea turtle, known as a honu, peacefully sleeping on the beach. These incredible animals come ashore to rest and conserve energy, and it’s important that we give them the space they need.

📏 Always stay at least 15 feet away from sea turtles.
🚫 Never touch, feed, or disturb them.
📸 Use your zoom lens for photos and admire them from a respectful distance.

By giving honu space, we help protect these endangered animals and ensure future generations can enjoy these magical encounters too.
