John Yancey Inn has come a long way since we were first built on the Outer Banks coast. We have families who remember their stays here before we expanded. We are an original outer banks hotel in Kill Devil Hills with oceanfront views that have kept you coming back for decades.

One of our customers shared this photo from our pool in 1970 — did you know John Yancey is one of the only original outer banks hotels still standing? It’s because we have loyal visitors like you that keep visiting us year after year.

The pool is looking a little different these days, but is still that after beach dip that we all crave after a long day in the sand.
