A Personal Update From Jess 🩷
December 1st Will Be My Last Day Accepting Orders Before I Step Away For A While❗
Hi everyone,
I've been a little quiet lately, and I wanted to share why.
Truthfully, the last several months have been some of the hardest I've faced. Between personal challenges, changes within my business, and trying to carry the weight of everything that comes with being a wife, mom, and business owner, I've found myself running on empty. The stress has unfortunately begun affecting my health, and I recently realized I needed to slow down, take care of myself, and make some changes before I found myself in the hospital again.
If you've followed my journey for any length of time, you know this business has always been more than cakes to me. Jess Takes the Cake has been a dream, a creative outlet, and a way to provide for my family. It has brought me friendships, opportunities, and so many incredible customers who have trusted me to be part of your celebrations over the years.
Making this decision has not been easy, and I've shed more tears over it than I'd like to admit.
After a lot of prayer, reflection, and conversations with my family, I've decided that I will continue accepting orders for the remainder of 2026. Every order, referral, share, recommendation, and kind word means the world to me right now, and I am so grateful for the continued support you've shown my small business.
If you've been thinking about placing an order and would still like to support me during this season, I'd love to create something special for your celebration. You can fill out an order inquiry form here: http://www.jesstakesthecake.com
*I am still doing meetups and drop-offs at Airbnbs, and local resorts that will accept your order around the Central Florida area.
Beginning December 1st, I will be stepping back from the business for a while to focus on my health, my family, and taking the time I need to rest and recharge.
I also want to reassure those who already have orders booked with me. Any orders currently on my calendar will not be cancelled. Over the coming weeks, I will still be reaching out to affected clients individually with available options.(Remember, I was accepting orders up to a year in advance.)
I don't know exactly what the future holds, but I do know how grateful I am for every single one of you. Whether you've ordered once, shared a post, recommended me to a friend, or cheered me on from the sidelines, you've helped make this dream possible.
For now, I'm taking things one day at a time, soaking up these next few months, and pouring my heart into every order I create.
Thank you for your patience, your support, your kindness, your prayers, and your understanding. It means more than words can express.
This isn't necessarily goodbye, it's simply a pause while I focus on what matters most right now. I truly hope to see many of you before then.
With love,
Jess ❤️
