Our family is here at Sunshine Villa enjoying a vacation, ourselves! I thought I'd share what our first full day here looked like so you can get an idea of what your vacation might include...
The kids woke up and immediately wanted to go for a swim in the heated pool, so while breakfast was cooking, we got them changed into their bathing suits so they'd be ready to go. After a full plate of bacon, they swam for about an hour and a half until the rain came. While they relaxed on the couch watching tv, I ran to Target to pick up a few extra items for the house, and came back to find that Charlie had taken the kids to one of the craft times at the clubhouse...pin making!
Once our son got a look at the water park, we of course had to get changed into bathing suits again. While we opted to eat lunch at the house first, you are welcome to pack a cooler with food and drinks to enjoy poolside, or you can order from the grill by the pool.
As Charlie and the kids continued in the community pool, I opted to go for a run throughout the community...Windsor Hills evidently got its name legitimately! Phew!
We all met back at the house, and my son played games on the gaming console in the gameroom while my daughter and I played two of the card games we have stocked at the house...Eye Found It! and Pictopia, both Disney-themed.
Once it was time to get some more energy out, we took the less-than-5-minute walk to the "castle playground" where they ran around, tested out the new swings, climbed a "rock" wall, rode the see-saw, and argued over who was going to be the leader on the walk back home.
We came home to dinner...beef tacos! Thanks to tossing the meat into the slow cooker in the morning, dinner prep was a breeze.
After one more swim (its very cold at our home in Maryland), we topped the night off with bowls of ice cream.
