Dear Masonic Family, Friends, and Supporters,

For generations, the Lafayette Masonic Cemetery has served as a sacred place of remembrance, dignity, and respect for our brethren, sisters, families, and neighbors who came before us.

Today, we are asking for your help to preserve and maintain this historic resting place for future generations.

Donations directly support:
• Grounds maintenance and mowing
• Preservation of headstones and memorials
• Beautification and upkeep of the cemetery
• Protection of our shared Masonic heritage

Every contribution — large or small — makes a meaningful impact.

$250 funds one full mowing and maintenance cycle for the cemetery grounds.

If you are able, please consider supporting this important mission and helping us honor those who have passed to that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Brothers, friends, and family —

Due to the forecast of severe weather and high winds expected Saturday morning, we have made the decision to cancel the Crabbing & Sh*****ng Trip + Seafood Boil scheduled for May 2.

This wasn’t an easy call, but safety on the water and at the refuge has to come first.

We appreciate everyone who planned to attend and participate, and we’ll work on rescheduling this event for a later date when conditions are safer and more favorable. Once a new date is set, we’ll share the details.

Stay safe, and thank you for your understanding.

All,

We don’t want to miss an opportunity to highlight the incredible progress of our Children’s Dyslexia Program and recognize the dedication of our instructors and brethren who are helping kids learn to read and thrive despite their challenges.

Many may not be aware that our fraternity offers free tutoring for children and youth with dyslexia. Dyslexia affects language processing, making reading, spelling, and comprehension more difficult—but it has nothing to do with intelligence. With the right support and strategies, these children can succeed.

In partnership with Exemplar Lodge No. 471, the Grand Lodge of Louisiana F&AM, and local education professionals, we launched our local dyslexia program last year—and the results have been remarkable.

📊 In just 3 months, participating students improved their reading capabilities by 33%.

More importantly, we are seeing real, life-changing impact. One parent shared:

“I am so incredibly grateful for the dyslexia tutoring program and for the difference it has made in my son’s life. He looks forward to going each time and has so much fun learning. It has become a place where he feels capable, supported, and proud of his progress.

Before starting, reading often felt frustrating and discouraging for him. Since then, I have seen his confidence and self-esteem grow tremendously. He is now excited to read—and even sneaks books at night. For a child who once avoided reading altogether, this is a huge win.

His spelling and vocabulary have improved, and his progress in reading has carried over into other subjects. Even his math has improved thanks to better comprehension.

This program has turned something overwhelming into something empowering. It has given my son confidence and belief in himself.”

This is why we do what we do. Learn more at https://la-mason.com/dyslexia-program-information/

Thank you to everyone involved in making this program a success—and for continuing to invest in the future of our nations children.

Behold, how great and pleasant it is for the brethren to dwell together in unity!

On behalf of the Lafayette Masonic Cemetery Committee, we deeply appreciate the Brethren that were able to help clear and repair the cemetery chain link fence! We made a staggering amount of progress this weekend that wouldn’t have been possible without these fine men’s help.

I think it is safe to say that our beloved Brothers and Sisters at rest in our humble cemetery, and even those that are not, were smiling big from above this weekend.

Dear Brethren,
As we gather with family and friends to celebrate this season of gratitude, we extend to you warm fraternal Thanksgiving wishes. May the Great Architect of the Universe continue to guide your steps, bless your home with peace, and fill your table with abundance. Let us take a moment to reflect on the many blessings we share—brotherhood, harmony, and the privilege of laboring together in the quarries of our Craft.
May this day bring you joy, rest, and renewed strength for the work ahead.
Happy Thanksgiving, my Brothers.
