Papakea D-402 Papakea D-402 is a 2 bed (plus loft), 2 1/2 bath ocean-view condo on west Maui's Kaanapali coast. Walk on the reef at low tide, or snorkel right out front.

The resort is 13 acres of expansive lawns and lush gardens, situated right on the oceanfront, with gorgeous views of the neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai. Make our "hale"-away-from-home your own, as you enjoy this family-friendly resort. With its own beach access, putting greens, tennis courts, pools, and koi ponds, you'll have plenty to see and do. oard, or swim in the pool. At the end of the day, watch the sun set over the Pacific under the swaying palms. If you want to get out and about, the world-renowned resort areas of Kaanapali and Kapalua are just a short drive from our condo. Enjoy the beaches, shop, dine, golf, and sight-see. Then come back to D-402 at the end of the day and just relax. Once you get here, you'll never want to go home ... because you'll see that, truly, Maui "no ka oi" (Maui is the best)!

Hōkūle’a and Hikianalia could be seen from D402 yesterday morning, presumably returning from Lahaina to Honolua Bay or heading out to Kalaupapa, Molokai. Always exciting to see the voyaging canoes on the water!

If you're on Maui for the holidays, and you want to have a little fun while shopping for those last-minute gifts, head over to the north central side of the island. Queen Ka’ahumanu Center will once again transform into a giant snow globe with its award-winning “Let it Snow!” snowfall experience, happening Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until December 23. Snowflakes will descend on the center promenade at 6:30 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. Each snowfall show will last for ten minutes, orchestrated to festive holiday music. With keiki snowflake wands and free Starbucks hot chocolate for early arrivals served by jingle ambassadors, oh what fun it is to spend a Christmas in Hawai'i!
