It's safe to say that construction has begun! 🫣😅

The phase of getting our late night conversations and ideas onto paper and turned into real drawings and plans is over. Now we wait and watch as the whole thing becomes a reality we can touch.

Happy gotcha day to this big corn dog! 🐾

It seems crazy that 8 years ago we were telling this wiggle worm of a puppy that he was our new pal. Our new pal has become our oldest and bestest pal and life just wouldn't be as lively and fun without him. 💕

What are we all canning right now? We're trying a giardiniera next, so we can keep up with our new muffuletta obsession through the winter.

Our posts are getting fewer and far between lately as we're busy getting everything in order for our upcoming construction start date...(16 days?!)

Just because social media is currently one of the last things on our minds, it doesn't mean we've stopped being productive over here. We're constantly adjusting and improving what we can.

Take our pork belly & scallion risotto for example - it's now our bacon cheddar risotto. The crispy bacon adds a more interesting texture in the creamy risotto, and the familiarity of it just seems more cozy.

And have you tried it with our hot sauce??

A little pizza update from us 🍕

We still LOVE making pizzas for our guests. What we love slightly less, is spending the evening wondering "Is someone going to order a pizza at 6:47, or can we leave the house?" 😅

With lots of new things being added to our plates lately, we're trying to bring a little more order to our schedule and be a little less permanently on call.

So going forward, our room service will be available by advance scheduling only.

If you're staying with us and know you'd like pizza, shoot us a message with the day and time you have in mind. We'll check our schedule, confirm that it works, and then you can place your order as usual through our digital guidebook.

We promise we're not getting out of the pizza business! We'd just like to know that we're making you dinner before we spend the whole evening waiting to see if we're making you dinner. 😂❤️

A small B&B public service announcement for the day.

If something breaks during your stay; a toilet, a lamp, a chair, a box spring…totally random examples, obviously 😂 Please tell us. Things happen. We get it. Homes are full of things, and occasionally those things decide they no longer wish to participate.

But PLEASE don’t leave us a little surprise to discover during turnover.

If you tell us while you’re still here, we can usually fix it, replace it, or otherwise make your stay better. And, equally important, it gives us time to deal with it before the next guests arrive instead of suddenly finding ourselves on a frantic box-spring-buying expedition between check-out and check-in.

We promise, “Hey, we broke something” is a much better message to receive than finding it ourselves later. Accidents happen. Mystery damage is considerably less charming.

We've got an update regarding our gluten free pizzas.

Previously, we were offering a gluten free sourdough pizza. They were great, but they came with their own set of problems. The biggest issue was that the dough is super high maintenance and takes forever, so unless you knew that you wanted gluten free pizza at least 24 hours ahead of time, it wasn't gonna happen for you.

We brainstormed, ran trials, and came up with something new and improved. Introducing FOCACCIA PIZZAS! Lighter, crispier, and still 100% gluten free. Do they still need advanced notice? Yes, we only prep these doughs per request. Does it need to be a day in advance? Nope, more like a few hours.

We've had gluten intolerant people try them - love. 💯
We've had celiacs try them - tears of joy. 🥹
We've had those of you with iron clad guts *choose them* over glutenous pies - approved. ✅

Always trying to make things easier and more accessible for everyone. Give these a try on your next visit!

And if you're missing the gluten free sourdough, guess what? You can *still* order it in our bread & butter package!

I've been meaning to post this for awhile, but you may notice some new landscaping upon your next visit!

We had to move one of our garden areas due to the upcoming construction. Doing it mid-season and dealing with a bunch of perennials wasn't easy, but we think it looks even better here and guests can enjoy it more!

Plus who doesn't love a privacy wall of tomatoes? 🍅🍅🍅
