It’s not uncommon to see us playing dominos or cards in the store, hosting local fishing tournaments, or having a local cajun band play. Beautiful campground, with great fishing, miniature golf, park, and shady oak trees!!!

Part 2 of the Myers Landing story with Geralyn Myers 🎥

Before it was Myers Landing as we know it today, the building was once a bar, the property was a Sunday gathering place, and according to family stories, there was even a little Prohibition-era mischief involving barrels of alcohol hidden under the river.

Geralyn takes us back through the early days, from working on the farm with her dad, to the first little country store, and eventually moving into the larger store in 1988.

She also shares some of the old family stories tied to the property, including people arriving on horseback, Sunday barbecues, card games, ci**rs, and one relative who chose 30 days in jail over paying a $100 fine.

There’s a lot more history at Myers Landing than most people ever knew.
