🥁 Drum roll, please! 🥁

Say hello to the brand-new owners officially taking the reins: Ali and Scott! 🌟

Ali grew up around Yetter, currently holds down the fort in Lake City, and spends her days holding down the fort as a teacher at SCC. When she isn't grading papers or teaching classes or coaching cross country, she's managing a busy crew of 3 kids and 4 grandkids. She is officially bringing that master multi-tasking energy straight into our front office! 📋✨

Next up is Scott, our co-owner and Maintenance Manager Extraordinaire! If it breaks, he fixes it; if it’s working, he’ll make it better. On top of keeping this property perfectly intact, he’s a busy entrepreneur running Propower LLC in Carroll. He also has 3 kids and 9 grandkids, so keeping a wild schedule under control is basically his superpower. 🛠️😎

They are fully prepared to handle any crowd, anytime, anywhere.

They are ready to keep this place running smoothly, efficiently, and successfully. Next time you see them around the property, make sure to drop a wave and welcome them to the team!

Cornerstone Suites is in the scarecrow contest again. Help us out with a vote for the bellhop, please! You have to go to the LC Betterment’s page to vote for it (not on my post). We would really appreciate it! The young lady that did it worked hard on it! 🙂

After much thought, we've decided it's time for a new chapter.

Since 2021, we've had the privilege of owning and operating Cornerstone Suites in beautiful downtown Lake City, Iowa. Welcoming guests from across the country and being part of this wonderful community has been an incredibly rewarding experience. We are truly grateful to everyone who has stayed with us, supported us, and helped make Cornerstone Suites what it is today.

As our family enters a new chapter, we've made the decision to offer Cornerstone Suites for sale.

From the very beginning, our goal has been to provide a valuable service and resource for Lake City and the surrounding area. It has always been important to us that Cornerstone Suites serves our community, and we hope to find a new owner who will continue that tradition for years to come.

Cornerstone Suites is a fully operating boutique hotel featuring seven guest suites in the heart of downtown Lake City. The sale includes the real estate, the hotel business, the furnishings, décor, linens, the website, the online booking system, and everything needed to continue operating from day one. It is truly a turnkey opportunity.

We are especially proud of the reputation Cornerstone Suites has earned over the years. Thanks to our wonderful guests and the hard work of our team, we have maintained a 4.9 out of 5-star Google rating, which we believe reflects the care and service that have gone into every guest's stay. (See the attached screenshot.)

The hotel will continue operating as usual throughout the sale process, and we are committed to helping the new owners through a smooth transition to ensure their success.

If you are interested in learning more, please send a private message to the Cornerstone Suites page. We'd be happy to provide additional information and financial details to qualified buyers.

Thank you again to our guests, our neighbors, and the entire Lake City community for allowing us to be a small part of your lives over the past several years. It has truly been an honor, and we're excited to see Cornerstone Suites continue serving this community for many years to come.

Please share this post with anyone who may be interested, it would be greatly appreciated.

Part-Time Hotel Housekeeper
Cornerstone Suites – Lake City, Iowa

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to join our housekeeping team. This is a very part-time position with morning hours (usually between 11-3), typically just a few days a week, but spring and summer can be busier.

What you’ll do:
Clean guest rooms, do laundry, restock supplies, and help keep our small hotel clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

What we need:
A reliable, show-up-and-get-it-done person who takes pride in their work. This role is physically active…you’ll be on your feet, climbing stairs, bending, lifting, and cleaning, sometimes for a few hours at a time. Must be comfortable with the physical demands of the job.

Perfect for someone looking for a flexible, very part-time schedule.

To apply, please message me on Facebook Messenger.
