This photo shows the Lakeside Motor Inn in the 1940s, the former chapter of the property that is now Lake House at High Peaks Resort. While the design and details have transformed over the years, its role as a welcoming place to stay and gather in Lake Placid remains.

High Peaks Resort is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet in Lake Placid, with roasted holiday turkey, honey baked ham, pan-seared salmon, classic holiday sides, and a full dessert spread featuring apple pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, cheesecake, and more.

First seating begins at 11 AM, with the final seating at 6 PM. Reservations are required.
