Life of a Campground Owner – Day 43 🏕️🛒🎣

We’re back in the camp store, and things are finally starting to look like a STORE again! 🙌😂

We’ve officially started getting products back on the shelves, and Nate is hard at work putting together our bait and tackle section! 🎣 He’s our in-house fishing specialist, so you know we had to put him in charge of that department!

We’ve also started stocking some of our brand-new Oak Hammock Resort merchandise! 👕Check out the new logos on our T-shirts! We’re pretty excited about how everything turned out!

And here’s something a lot of people might not realize about our camp store…

Not only can you stop in for convenience items, fishing supplies, and some awesome Oak Hammock merchandise, but we’ve also got a pretty incredible view overlooking Lake Pierce! 🌅🌴

Seriously, how many convenience stores can say that?! 😂

Life of a Campground Owner – Day 42 🏕️🔨🌙

We’re back in the camp store, burning the midnight oil trying to get this renovation across the finish line! 💪

Tonight I finally got all of the baseboards installed, and Allie spent the entire day putting a protective coat of polycrylic on all of our beautiful custom-built cabinets! 🙌

After all the time we’ve spent building, sanding, and staining these cabinets, we want to make sure they’re protected and looking good for years to come. Allie’s thinking one more coat should do the trick!

We are SO CLOSE to having this camp store finished, and we couldn’t be more excited to see everything come together!

The goal is to start moving merchandise back in by Friday and maybe, just maybe, have the store back open for the weekend! 🤞🛒

Will we pull it off? Guess we’ll find out! 😂

Life of a Campground Owner – Day 41 🏕️🔨

We’re back in the camp store, and we are getting SO close to the finish line! 🙌

Sorry it’s been a couple of days since our last update, but we’ve been BUSY trying to get this camp store renovation wrapped up!

We’ve officially finished building all of our custom built-ins and shelving units! 🔨 Now we just need to finish up the final trim, get everything stained, and start putting all of our merchandise and supplies back where they belong.

It’s been a lot of long days, hard work, and sawdust, but seeing everything finally come together makes it all worth it! 💪

We cannot wait to show you the finished Oak Hammock Resort Camp Store! 🛒🏕️

Life of a Campground Owner – Day 40 🏕️🔨

First off, we just want to say THANK YOU! ❤️ To everyone who has been following along, leaving comments, sharing our videos, and supporting this crazy journey—we truly appreciate every single one of you!

Now we just need to get you all to come stay with us at Oak Hammock Resort! 😂🏕️

For Day 40, we’re back in the camp store working on our built-ins. We’ve got the lower cubbies built and roughly positioned where they’re going to live. There’s still plenty to do—we need to mount everything, add the trim, stain the wood, and finish it all out—but you can finally start to see the vision coming together. 🙌

We’re getting closer and closer to having this camp store DONE, and we cannot wait to show you the finished product!

Sometimes nature provides the perfect soundtrack. 🌅🌿

Coming out of Catfish Creek into Lake Pierce as the sun goes down… ancient cypress trees covered in Spanish moss, water flowing beneath us, birds calling in the distance, and the sounds of Florida coming alive around the lake.

No music needed for this one. Just turn the volume up and enjoy a few peaceful seconds on the water. 🔊🦅🌿

This is one of those moments that reminds us just how beautiful our little corner of Florida really is.

Life of a Campground Owner – Day 39 🏈🏕️

It’s football Sunday, and today we’re hanging out in the game room at Oak Hammock Resort catching some NFL action!

We’ve officially added YouTube TV with NFL Sunday Ticket to the game room and all of our cabins, so you don’t have to miss your team just because you’re spending the weekend at the lake. 🙌🏈

Sounds like a pretty perfect Sunday to me: go fishing on Lake Pierce in the morning, come back to the cabin, kick your feet up, and watch football all afternoon. 🎣➡️🏈

Life of a Campground Owner – Day 38 ☕️🥐

Today we’re stepping away from the campground for a little bit and checking out the Winter Haven Farmers Market!

We’re walking around, checking out all the local vendors, supporting some great small businesses… and of course, I had to grab a cinnamon roll while Allie got herself a coffee. 😂☕️

One of the things we love about Oak Hammock Resort is that there’s so much to explore nearby. If you’re staying with us, the Winter Haven Farmers Market is just a short drive away and definitely a cool place to spend part of your day!

Shop local, eat something good, grab a coffee, and then head back to the lake. Sounds like a pretty good Saturday to us! 🙌

Life of a Campground Owner – Day 37 💡🔨

We’re back in the camp store, and we’re continuing to chip away at this renovation one project at a time!

Today I got the rest of our new light fixtures installed, and Allie is hard at work painting all of the baseboards. Once those are finished and dry, we can get them installed and check another big item off the list. 🙌

At this point, it’s all about keeping the momentum going. Lights, paint, baseboards, built-ins—we’re getting closer and closer to seeing the finished vision come together.

We’re hoping to have this project wrapped up within the next week or two, and we can’t wait to show you the finished Oak Hammock Resort Camp Store! 🛒🏕️

Life of a Campground Owner – Day 36 🎨🔨

We’re back in the camp store, and it’s finally starting to feel like we’re putting things back together instead of tearing them apart! 😂

A big shoutout to Nate, who did an awesome job getting all of the walls painted and finished up. We’ve added a few feature walls, and you can really start to see the new look of the store coming together. 🙌

We’ve also got our materials ordered and wood ready for the custom built-ins, which we’ll be building, staining, and installing to display all of our merchandise, convenience items, and camp store essentials.

Every day we’re getting a little closer to the finished product, and we can’t wait to show you how it all turns out!
