It was really sad to see another long time friend of Sugarloaf Cottages as left us. Richard Fisher and his family spent many spring days with us for over 15 years. He was a kind soul and had the best laugh! We know you’re not gone just in another room. Sending our condolences and prayers to his family and friends.

There’s more to Sugarloaf Cottages than just cabins. We offer our own dock that is included when you rent one of our cabins. We also have plenty of outdoor activities like a pool, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, bocce ball, corn hole. An outdoor movie with popcorn.
We have a few cabins available in June and July. If you’re looking to make some lasting memories.

The picture on the left is of our oldest daughter Kara. It was taken in 1989. We never dreamed it would be come our home for over 30years. We just found a wonderful group of pictures which this was one of them from our vacation at Sugarloaf. We will post more of them as we continue to go through them. It was such a wonderful find!

The two moon pictures are for Joyce and Darrell Shaidell. After owning Shasta Lake RV for over 30 years, they passed the torch to us. They were a big part of this community for many years and we are thankful for their support. We recall joking about being the veterans since they started just 3 months before us. We're sad we missed Darrell's farewell. Wishing them happiness in their new journey - at least they won't have to deal with a $10,000 AC unit replacement! 😂😂

Last night the man in the moon was watching over our dock and fishing boats which have arrived for the Kokanee Power Trout derby! We welcome these fine anglers. They have supported every business in Lakehead for the 20 plus years this derby has been held. We thank them for their commitment to their craft and to us! Good Luck this weekend!

The trout from Sugarloaf Cottages fish pen were set free yesterday, marking 15+ years of dedication to raising these amazing fish. Thanks to Kokanee Power, Fish and Wildlife, the hatchery in Mt. Shasta and all the other businesses on the lake that make this project possible.
