The bridal bouquet tradition began in ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt when brides carried bouquets of herbs and flowers to ward off bad luck and bring fertility, happiness, and fidelity to the marriage. In the Middle Ages, the bridal toss tradition began, and the bouquets were likely to contain garlic and more aromatic herbs and flowers. In Victorian times, the language of flowers was often a factor in the choice of flowers. Today’s bouquets are unique to each wedding, often a creative expression of the bride, the couple, and the floral designer. Among our many vendors, we have some fabulous floral designers for your consideration when planning a wedding with us.
