🏁😂 THE BACK ROADS GOLF CART RODEO! 😂🏁
What happens when you blindfold the driver, hand all the responsibility to the navigator, and throw a bunch of cones in the way?
Pure campground chaos. 🤣🛺
There was yelling. There was laughing. There were a few questionable directions… and apparently “YOUR OTHER LEFT!” needed to be said more than once. 😂
Thanks to everyone who jumped in and made the Golf Cart Rodeo such a blast!

Saturday morning at Back Roads… 🏕️☕🦃
The coffee is ready, the girls have been busy laying breakfast, the golf carts are lined up, and apparently the local wildlife has already started making their rounds. 😂
The campground is waking up and we’re getting ready for a full Saturday of Labor Day Weekend fun.
And yes… apparently nobody told us about the “no labor” part of Labor Day. There’s always something being built, fixed, cleaned, cooked or improved around here!
But we WILL make time for some fun today…
🛺 2 PM — Blind Golf Cart Rodeo at the Lower Event Field
🍽️ 6 PM — Potluck Dinner at the Pool Pavilion
🎶 6–9 PM — DJ Aljibrah
Summer may be winding down, but we’re definitely not ready to let it go yet.
Fresh eggs, hot coffee, campers in the woods, wildlife roaming through and a full day ahead of us.
Yep… this is Saturday morning at Back Roads. ❤️

🇺🇸 Labor Day Weekend is here at Back Roads! ☀️🏕️

It may be the unofficial end of summer, but we’re not ready to let it go just yet!

One more long weekend for sunny afternoons by the pool 💦, fishing 🎣, golf cart rides through the woods 🛺, campfires after dark 🔥, visiting the Glamping Chicks 🐔, walking along the creek 🌲, and simply slowing down and enjoying the Back Roads.

The campground is looking beautiful this morning, and we’re ready for one last big summer hoorah!

Whether you’re spending the weekend camping with us or just following along from home, we hope everyone has a safe, relaxing and fun Labor Day Weekend! 🇺🇸

We sure are! The skulls are starting to arrive, and we’re gearing up for our Haunted Golf Cart Trail at Back Roads Camping & RV Resort! 👻

🔥 Another Great Weekend at Back Roads! 🔥

Another weekend in the books at Back Roads Camping & RV Resort, and this one had a little bit of everything!
We kicked things off with our weekly Back Roads Fireside, gathering around the campfire and catching up with friends. Saturday night, DJ Robbie Heckard kept the pavilion rocking with karaoke—and judging by the pictures, there were definitely a few future superstars in the crowd! 🎤😂
The rest of the weekend was spent doing exactly what camping weekends are made for—fishing, swimming, golf cart rides, campfires, relaxing, and taking walks around the property.
And apparently the wildlife wanted in on the weekend too! 🦌🦃🐻 We had deer, turkey, and even a bear spotted around the campground! Plus, of course, plenty of visits with our chickens and checking in on the bees. 🐔🐝
Some weekends don't need a packed schedule. Sometimes it's just about slowing down, sitting around the fire, laughing with good people, and enjoying where you are.

🍯 From Our Property to the Jar! 🐝
We spent the evening with our friends at Perry County Bee Company, bottling honey straight from the hives located right here at Back Roads Camping & RV Resort!
It was such a great experience getting to see the process firsthand, and we can't thank Joe and Carolyn enough for showing us the ropes and sharing their knowledge with us.
And the best part? This honey was produced right here on our property! 🌼🐝🍯
Fresh, local honey is now available for purchase in the Camp Store. It doesn't get much more local than this!
A big thank you to Perry County Bee Company for the hardworking little residents and helping us bring something truly special from our property to your table.
