When it comes to getting away, many people think of heading to a beach resort or checking into a luxury hotel in a big city. But there’s another option: retreating to the Berkshires, an area located in western Massachusetts that’s filled with natural beauty, small towns, and cultural attractions. And soon, there will be a brand new black female-owned spa & resort in the region, promising an unforgettable retreat for those looking to relax and rejuvenate.
New Eatonville is slated to become the first black-owned property of its kind in the Berkshires. The brainchild- visionary Harmony Edwards- was inspired to create the development plans after years of working in real estate and understanding the need for equal equity.
“I always dreamed of having my own place where I could create an environment that was accepting, nurturing, and unique—a holistic space where people could come to feel good about themselves,” Edwards says.
And that’s exactly what she plans to offer at New Eatonville Berkshire Spa & Resort. Along with luxurious accommodations and top-notch spa services, guests can look forward to engaging in wellness programming that focuses on mind, body, and spirit. From yoga and meditation classes to healing workshops and sound baths, the property will offer something for everyone who wants to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Located in the charming town of Lanesborough, Massachusetts, the New Eatonville is just minutes away from some of the most beautiful areas in the Berkshires. Guests can enjoy hiking or biking through rolling hillsides, exploring quaint towns with charming shops and restaurants, or taking in a performance at one of the region’s renowned theaters.
Edwards is excited to finally bring her dream to life and offer visitors a one-of-a-kind retreat experience. “The Berkshires are a special place, and I know that our spa and resort will be a popular destination for people looking for an authentically cultured experience that celebrates wellness and relaxation.”
