Oasis Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons celebrates its 60th anniversary alongside the Grand Lodge of Nevada's 150th anniversary in 2015. We meet 7pm on Monday evenings at the Masonic Memorial Temple in Las Vegas, NV. Social hour and dinner/snacks precede the meetings beginning at 6pm. Sojourning brethren from Grand Lodges in amity with the Grand Lodge of Nevada are welcome to join us any evening we

meet. Additionally, fellow Nevada Masons are always welcome at meetings. Men in the Las Vegas area interested in Masonry should contact Oasis Lodge #41 via Facebook or our website. We would be happy to answer questions about Freemasonry or Oasis Lodge in particular.

Coffee, Guns & Brotherhood 🔷

This morning, our Brothers joined Indian Springs Lodge No. 48 for their Coffee & Guns gathering at Desert Sportsman’s Rifle & Pistol Club.

Several Brothers from around the valley participate in competitive shooting, including members of Tropang Vegas, which regularly gets together for practices and matches. Today was a great opportunity for Brothers with different levels of experience to spend some time at the range, learn from one another, sharpen their skills, and enjoy some good old-fashioned fellowship.

A special thank you to Brother Ed Bacho and the Brothers of Indian Springs Lodge No. 48 for inviting us out, for the hospitality, and especially for taking the time to share their knowledge and provide firearm safety and education throughout the morning.

Good coffee. Good shooting. Great Brotherhood. ☕🎯

The Traveling Man: Austin, Texas 🔷

Every journey deserves a memorable final stop.

To conclude Brother Ric’s summer travels, his final destination brought him to several of Austin’s historic Masonic landmarks, each reflecting a unique chapter in the rich heritage of Freemasonry in the Lone Star State.

Among the highlights were the historic Scottish Rite Temple, Austin Lodge No. 12, Hill City Lodge No. 456, and Mount Carmel Temple. Together, these landmarks represent generations of Masons who have strengthened their communities while preserving the traditions and values of our Craft.

One of the most fascinating stops was Austin’s Scottish Rite Temple, a Texas Historic Landmark whose history dates back to the 1870s before becoming home to the Scottish Rite bodies in the early 1900s. It’s a reminder that while the architecture tells an incredible story, it’s the Brothers who have gathered within these walls who have truly shaped its legacy.

Brother Ric’s journey has taken us from Michigan to Tennessee and across Texas, showcasing beautiful Lodges, remarkable history, and the warm fellowship that unites Masons wherever they travel.

Thank you, Brother Ric, for representing Oasis 41 and allowing us to travel along with you. We appreciate you sharing your adventures and reminding us that wherever a Mason may go, he is never far from home.

50 Years of Brotherhood 🔷

Some moments are too important to wait for the Lodge room.

Recently, several Brothers from Oasis Lodge No. 41 had the privilege of visiting Brother Ed Sharpe at his home to present him with his 50-Year Masonic Service Pin.

For half a century, Brother Ed has exemplified the principles of Freemasonry through his dedication, character, and commitment to the Craft. While the pin itself marks fifty years of membership, it also represents countless meetings attended, friendships formed, lessons shared, and lives touched along the way.

It was an honor to bring this recognition directly to Brother Ed and celebrate this incredible milestone with him.

The Traveling Man: New Braunfels, Texas 🔷

Brother Ric’s Texas journey continued with a visit to New Braunfels Lodge No. 1109, where one feature stood out above the rest.

Standing outside the Lodge is a beautiful Masonic obelisk, surrounded by engraved memorial bricks honoring Brothers who have laid down their working tools. It’s a simple yet meaningful reminder that while our earthly labors come to an end, the legacy of a Mason continues through the lives he touched and the Lodge he helped build.

Brother Ric also explored the Lodge grounds, taking in the history of the building and the many Masonic organizations that call it home, including DeMolay, Rainbow, Eastern Star, and a Daylight Lodge.

Thank you again, Brother Ric, for sharing another stop on your journey and giving all of us a chance to experience the Brotherhood found far beyond our own Lodge room.

The Traveling Man: Lincoln Park, Michigan 🔷

One of the first stops on Brother Ric’s summer journey brought him to Lincoln Park Masonic Hall, home of Lincoln Park Lodge No. 529, F.&A.M.

While visiting, Brother Ric enjoyed an evening of fellowship with the Brothers of the Lodge and had the opportunity to sit in on a Master Mason Degree. He also received a commemorative challenge coin celebrating the Lodge’s 100th Anniversary (1926–2026).

One of the greatest privileges of being a Mason is knowing that no matter where your travels take you, you’ll always find Brothers ready to welcome you.

The Traveling Man: Galveston, Texas 🔷

Brother Ric’s journey across America continues with a stop in Galveston, Texas, where Masonic history comes alive.

While exploring the island, Brother Ric visited Tucker Lodge No. 297, A.F. & A.M., chartered in 1867, and the historic Scottish Rite Temple, recognized as the Birthplace of Scottish Rite Masonry in Texas.

From historic Lodges to remarkable architecture and landmarks that have shaped our Fraternity, every destination offers another opportunity to appreciate the rich heritage of Freemasonry.

Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸🔷

Today, as we celebrate the 250th year of the American experiment in liberty, Oasis Lodge No. 41 joins our community in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and vision of those who helped establish our nation.

Freemasons have long embraced the ideals of liberty, equality, justice, and civic responsibility. As we gather with family and friends this Fourth of July, we also remember those who have defended these freedoms throughout our nation’s history.

As America begins its 250th year, may we continue to build stronger communities through brotherhood, service, charity, and respect for one another.

71 Years of Brotherhood and Fellowship 🔷

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday as we celebrated the 71st Anniversary of Oasis Lodge No. 41. 👏

The day began with an outstanding Grand Lecturer’s Workshop, bringing Brothers together to strengthen their ritual work before enjoying an afternoon of great food, fellowship, and family at our annual Oasis 41 Family Picnic. 🧺

As we celebrated 71 years of Oasis Lodge No. 41, Brothers also picked up one of our Oasis 41 commemorative pocket knives, engraved with our Lodge name and founding date, June 10, 1955. If you weren’t able to pick one up, fewer than 30 remain and are available for $40 while supplies last. Contact WB Scott Kelley if interested. 🏷️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organize, cook, volunteer, and attend. Events like these remind us that some of the best moments in Masonry happen around the dinner table, sharing fellowship with Brothers, family, and friends.🌭🍔🍽️

Summer Family BBQ This Saturday! 🔷

Join Oasis 41 for our Annual Summer Family BBQ as we celebrate 71 years of Brotherhood, Friendship, and Family.

The day begins with the Grand Lecturer’s Workshop from 9:00 AM to Noon at the Masonic Memorial Temple. All Masons are welcome to attend. Bring your Ritual, your questions, and enjoy coffee and donuts beginning at 8:30 AM.

Then stick around as we fire up the grills at Noon for an afternoon of great food, fellowship, and fun with our Oasis 41 families and friends.

Oasis 41 will be providing burgers and hot dogs. If you’d like to contribute, please consider bringing a dish, drinks, or volunteering to help.

We look forward to seeing you there!
