Wickiup Cabins Creekside cabins in Spearfish Canyon since 1936. Twenty historic cabins sleeping 2–6 guests, family-owned and surrounded by hiking, fishing, and ATV trails.

Fire pits, screened porches, and Black Hills beauty. Open May–September. Wickiup has 7 six person cabins, 7 four person and 6 two person cabins and sits 8 miles west of Lead/Deadwood on Highway 85 near Cheyenne Crossing.

One of the best parts about staying at Wickiup? You can ride straight from your cabin to adventure.

The photo on the right was taken at the beginning of Long Draw Road, one of our favorite starting points for exploring the Black Hills. From there, you’ll find miles of scenic ATV and UTV trails winding through forests, climbing ridges, and leading to incredible views you won’t see from the highway.

Spend the day exploring, then head back to the creek, fire pit, and comfort of your cabin in Spearfish Canyon.

No trailer loading. No long drives to a trailhead. Just wake up, gear up, and ride.

The rain is falling in Spearfish Canyon, and the flowers are loving every minute of it. 🌧️🌸

Everything is turning a little greener, the creek is running strong, and the canyon is looking beautiful today.
