**Heads-Up, Buttercup! 🌼🚧**

Some MUCH-needed stabilization work is happening on Beaver Valley Hill! For approximately **3 weeks**, locals and guests staying in the Plain area will need to take **Tumwater Canyon via Hwy 2** when traveling to and from Leavenworth and Wenatchee.

Is it ideal? Nope. 😅 But the hill needs some love, and there’s never a perfect time to get it done!

Please plan for a little extra travel time, follow posted detours, and enjoy the scenic route through Tumwater Canyon.

**A little inconvenience now for a safer road ahead!**

The project at Chumstick Highway at Beaver Hill near Plain has been delayed out of an abundance of caution and wildfire concerns. Start date is Sept. 28, with a full closure through Oct. 17.

Resources: 30 engines; 15 crews; 17 heavy equipment; 16 water tenders; 7 helicopters

Sisi: 2,521 acres, 11% contained and 112 personnel.
Resources: 1 engine; 4 crews; 1 heavy equipment; 0 water tenders; 0 helicopters

Little Giant: The Jackson Hotshots engaged in direct suppression efforts above Twin Lakes, targeting containment by anchoring the fire perimeter into natural rock features. Over the coming weeks, incident management will gradually transition resources toward suppression repair.

Sisi: Moderated weather conditions and strategic helicopter water drops limited fire progression today. Suppression activities were further reinforced by the arrival of five additional engines transported via barge.
