Some moments in hospitality remind you why we do what we do. ❤️

Today was one of those moments for all of us at Home2 Suites by Hilton Leesburg.

For the past four months, we’ve had the privilege of being “home” to a very special group of families. They came to us during a difficult and uncertain time in their lives, and from the beginning, our team had one goal:

Make this feel as much like home as we possibly could.

We weren’t trying to win an award. We weren’t looking for recognition. We were simply doing what our team does every single day, taking care of people.

And somewhere along the way, these guests stopped feeling like guests and started feeling like family.

Especially the kids. ❤️

There were UNO games with our team, bracelets and jewelry being made, laughter in the lobby, conversations, hugs and countless little moments that probably seemed insignificant at the time, but weren’t.

Nothing was “not our job.” If it could bring a smile, create a distraction, or make one of these families feel a little more comfortable and a little less far from home, we did it.

Because these families were going through a lot. Their lives had been disrupted, and while we couldn’t change what brought them to us, we could control how they felt while they were here.

We could make sure they felt safe.

We could make sure they felt cared for.

We could make sure their children had reasons to smile.

And most importantly, we could make sure they felt loved.

Today, as this group prepares to leave us over the next week or two, the families, including their children, gathered together and presented our hotel with this beautiful plaque.

There were definitely tears. ❤️

They told us they will never, ever forget us and that if they ever return to this area, there is nowhere else they would stay.

I don’t think they realize that the feeling is mutual.

We will never forget them either.

This plaque will always be incredibly special to all of us at Home2 Leesburg, not because of what it is, but because of who it came from and what it represents.

Hospitality is so much more than providing someone with a room.

Sometimes, for a little while, you get the privilege of giving someone a home. ❤️🏠

And that is something our entire Home2 Leesburg family can be incredibly proud of ❤️

We may be posting this a little late… but when your team is so focused on taking care of guests, sometimes you forget to pause and celebrate yourselves.
And this is absolutely worth celebrating.

What an incredible honor and privilege for our property, but more importantly, what a reflection of our TEAM.

We are humbled, grateful, and so proud of each and every team member who helped make this possible.

This recognition means so much because it reflects the heart of our hotel: our TEAM. They are the ones who show up each day with passion, care, and commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience. They are the ones who truly “make it happen” and always strive to make it right.

We were also honored to receive a special visit from Hilton Corporate during Employee Appreciation Week, along with a sweet treat from Crumbl, to help celebrate the incredible people behind this success.

We are beyond grateful for this amazing team and all they do to bring hospitality to life every single day. This award belongs to them!
