🏗️ Another Milestone Reached in the Crossroads!

The Refinery Apartments at 1818 Main celebrated an exciting milestone with its topping-out ceremony! 🎉

Located in Kansas City’s vibrant Crossroads Arts District along the KC Streetcar route, The Refinery is a 16-story, 147-unit apartment development that will bring new residential opportunities to the heart of downtown.

RIC is proud to be part of this exciting project, teaming up with Generator Studio on this Copaken Brooks Project, alongside Centric .

Congratulations to the entire project team on reaching this milestone! We can’t wait to see the finished project and its impact on the Kansas City skyline!

🚒 Shovels in the ground! Lenexa Fire Station No. 6 is officially underway! 🚧

RIC was excited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Lenexa Fire Station No. 6, marking the beginning of an exciting new addition to the community!

The new 27,600-square-foot facility will house the City's fire command, training, and prevention departments, along with office space for Lenexa's IT department. The station will also feature a FEMA-rated storm shelter to provide protection during severe weather.

RIC is proud to be part of this project, providing civil engineering and land surveying services to help bring this important facility to life.

We're excited to see this project take shape and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the Lenexa community!

☔️ A little rain couldn’t stop the fun! 🌧️🍔

Last Friday, the RIC team came together for an ESOP Team-Building BBQ! While the weather moved the festivities indoors, we didn’t let that stop us from enjoying good food, drinks, games, and plenty of laughs together.

Being employee-owned is about more than what we do—it’s about the people we do it with. 💪

Women in Surveying! 📍

Last week, RIC's Michelle Brown attended the 7th Women Surveyors Summit in San Diego, California!

This year’s Summit brought together approximately 200 women from across the surveying profession, making it the largest Women Surveyors Summit yet. Attendees had the opportunity to connect, learn, and share experiences while exploring topics ranging from mentorship and education to AI, CAD/GIS, drone surveying, ethics, and emerging technology.

Even more special, she was one of only two women from Missouri in attendance!

We’re proud to see RIC represented among so many women who are helping shape the future of the surveying profession.

More trails. More connections. More ways to explore! 🚲🏃‍♀️🌳

Jackson County has officially connected the Little Blue Trace Trail and Rock Island Trail, creating a new connection for cyclists, runners, walkers, and the community.

RIC is proud to have provided land surveying, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and traffic engineering services for this project, work alongside Jackson County Parks + Rec + Rec and Kansas City Parks and Recreation to help bring this important trail connection to life!
