The warm weather puts a spring in everyone’s step! We think it’s a great time to reintroduce Anchor Wizard.

Founded in 2005 by Bruce VanScoyoc (far left), our company began with the development of our River Anchoring System. Several years later, Bruce teamed up with his sons, Kameron (middle) and Keevin (third from right), to create the renowned Original Kayak Anchoring System. Fast forward to today, together, we have created over thirty products for boats of all kinds, with plenty more ideas in the works.

While our products are now sold worldwide, we remain a small family-owned and operated business. We are located in our sister shop, Hicks Lake Grinding, that is on its' 30th year and also ran by the VanScoyoc Family with only four other employees.

Our dedicated team of seven takes great pride in maintaining hands-on quality, personalized service to our customers, while upholding strong relationships and staying true to what matters most.

Thank you for supporting our business and trusting Anchor Wizard on the water!

Bob Johnson’s Celebration of Life was held today at the Luther fire hall. It was standing room only. There was a wonderful turn out of guests celebrating Bob. We all have such fond memories of the man who always had a smile on his face. He will be sadly missed by us co-workers, campers, friends and family. Bob and Sonja are deeply loved by the Rose Lake Park Community. Thank you to Sonja’s sisters and sister in laws for the wonderful meal and fantastic desserts. Condolence cards can be mailed to Sonja Johnson 414 Roger’s Street, Cadillac Michigan 49601.

I am very sad to inform you that our great friend, colleague, and camping buddy passed away this morning after a short illness. Robert(Bob) Johnson will be sadly missed. Bob was a great friend to all the staff and campers at Rose Lake Park. He and wife Sonja camped at the park for 30+ years. They also were the most dedicated employees for the last 10 years. Bob & Sonja loved spending their time with other staff members and has many camping friends at Rose Lake. He will be sadly missed by myself and many other staff and campers. My heart goes out to Sonja, their children and grandchildren . Condolence cards may be mailed to 414 Rogers St, Cadillac, Mi 49601.
