One of our favorite ways to experience Lewes starts on two wheels. 🚲🌊
Cape Henlopen State Park is filled with scenic trails winding through coastal forests, dunes and marshland, with beaches, historic WWII towers and some incredible views along the way.
And if you’re up for a longer ride, you can connect the trails between Lewes and Rehoboth Beach for roughly a 16-mile loop … riding through Cape Henlopen, along Gordon’s Pond and through some of the prettiest scenery on the Delaware coast.
Fall might be the best time to do it, too. Cooler temperatures, quieter trails and plenty of reasons to stop and explore along the way. 🍂
Local tip: the Bike Barn inside Cape Henlopen even offers FREE bike loans for up to two hours, first come, first served.
Then make your way back to Lewes for dinner downtown and a quiet evening along the canal.
Plan your fall getaway at The Inn at Canal Square.
