If you know Hopkins Heartland, you probably know Ingrid and Corrine. But what you might not know is how these two ended up building Hopkins Heartland into what it is today. And the story is a pretty good one 🤍
Let’s rewind to 2016, when Ingrid opened the Covered Bridge Inn Bed & Breakfast, not knowing just how much her little dream would grow.
In 2017, she hosted her very first wedding under a tent on the lawn. Why a tent? Because the cows were still living in what is now our reception barn! 🐄
What followed was a whole lot of determination, a few tough conversations (convincing lawmakers AND farmers is no small task 🤣), and a mission to prove that weddings and working farms could coexist on preserved farmland.
Fast forward to 2018. Ingrid hosted 25 weddings that year, and one of those brides just happened to be a girl named Corrine.
What began with a bride and her venue owner soon became a shared vision. Together they grew the wedding business into Hopkins Heartland, which now has two beautiful venues to suit the needs of coastal Sussex County.
Ten years after Ingrid first opened the doors to Covered Bridge Inn, it’s pretty incredible to look back at where it all began, how far her dream has come, and the people who have helped make it what it is today 🤍
Here’s to the first decade and all that’s still to come! ✨🥂
