COVID-19 POLICY (March 20, 2020)
Dear Guests of Autumn Ridge,
Autumn Ridge Cottages is committed to keeping our guests and staff safe. We have an excellent housekeeping crew committed to disinfecting all surfaces between guest stays, including all doorknobs and remote controls. In addition to our strict cleaning requirements, we have instituted a 3-day quarantine block before and after all guest stays through April 30, 2020. This will be extended as needed to keep up with the COVID-19 trend. (It is our understanding that a virus can live up to 72 hours outside of the body.) Any changes to this policy will be updated on our website and via email and social media.
Any current reservations that do not allow for the 3-day quarantine block before their stay will be notified by today with the recommendation of changing their dates to comply but will be allowed the option of keeping their current reservation.
We are maintaining our standard cancellation policy with the addition of waiving any cancellation fees on reservations through April 30. This will be extended if needed to keep with our COVID-19 policy above. Any cancellations within 14 days of your reservation will receive a Gift Certificate for all amounts paid as of the date of cancellation. Our gift certificates are good for up to two years and valid at any of our rental properties, including Homeaway Lane, in Natural Bridge. Cancellations outside of the 14-day window will receive a full refund.
On a lighter note… we have toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towels, and cleaning supplies! Autumn Ridge has always been known for its social isolation and clean-living conditions. It is what our guests appreciate most and expect when visiting. We still have fabulous mountain views and plenty of wildlife, and as Spring is now upon us many of the trees and flowers have begun to bloom.
As many of you know, local mom & pop shops make up most of downtown Lexington. The current pandemic has affected all of us. Local businesses are struggling to put in place social isolation practices and still stay in business. Several restaurants are still offering take out and removing tables to keep distance between customers. Several shops are open with limited hours and online shopping. Many businesses are relying on Gift Certificate purchases to help get through this trying time. We all appreciate the support received from our loyal guests.
Sincerely,
Heather and Mike Meads
