October 1st marks International Coffee Day! ☕️ If there’s one thing a Swede is known to love, it’s a strong black cup of coffee. Did you know we have partnered with a local coffee roaster, the Blacksmith Coffee Shop & Roastery, to create our very own blend? The notes of chocolate, ginger spice, and almond are sure to make you reminisce about your lovely stay at your favorite Swedish inn. Pick up a bag at the Inn the next time you stay with us!

Like the taste of coffee, but can’t do the caffeine? That’s okay! We also sell the Blacksmith’s own decaf beans in our boutique!

Already thinking about a fall retreat? Us too!

Don’t stress about the planning! We have put together a guide to the best places to check out in Kansas on our website! Plus, at the center of it all is an incredible stay at the Dröm Sött Inn, a quaint boutique hotel that makes every trip special!

Here are just a few of our suggestions:
📍The Dröm Sött Inn - I know we may be a little biased with this one… the building is historical, beds are comfy, the staff is friendly, but the location is superb—a stay you'll want to take advantage of!

📍The Maxwell Wildlife Refuge - If you are a Kansas native or tourist alike, you must see an American Bison up close because it is the Kansas state mammal after all! Get a close look at one in real life at the Maxwell Wildlife Refuge—an experience you won’t want to miss!

📍Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library & Museum - Did you know our 34th president was a Kansas native? Check out these historical sites and take a deeper look into the life of President Eisenhower in Abilene, KS!

📍The Flint Hills - Whether you visit the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve and discover Kansas’ various grasses, or take a hike on the Konza Prairie, you can’t go wrong. Explore all the nature that Kansas has to offer!

We thought we would hop on the color photo challenge trend since the Dröm Sött Inn is full of vibrant colors! Surround yourself with blues, reds, creams, yellows, and teals, and soak in all the Scandinavian vibes. Did you know our color palette is inspired by one of our favorite Swedish artists, Carl Larson?
