Maritime Conference Center (MCC) is located on the beautiful 40-acre campus of the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS), a nonprofit vocational maritime training and simulation center. Your guests will walk through hallways adorned with 7-foot models of seafaring vessels and centuries of Merchant Marine history. MCC is conveniently located within minutes from the Baltimor

With Baltimore, Annapolis, and Washington, D.C., all nearby, the Maritime Conference Center is located in a central hub for all kinds of gatherings for government entities, associations, corporations, non-profits, or religious organizations. Whether it's conference rooms, dining services or lodging that you need, MCC has you covered. Maritime Conference Center offers 232 guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space, with 55 individual meeting rooms including an Auditorium with seating for 350 and a Dining Room with seating for 500. MCC also offers a fitness room, a recreation room, an indoor swimming pool, a Deck Club Lounge, and an abundance of outdoor space. Further, MCC has complimentary shuttle transportation to and from BWI Airport and Amtrak Station and free on-site parking. The Maintenance Department is proud to pass the All Hands-On-Deck Traveling Trophy to Rose, Anna, and Jess from Housekeeping! ⚓

Over the past several months, these team members demonstrated patience, teamwork, and professionalism while working through ongoing air conditioning challenges in the Laundry Room. Their positive attitudes and willingness to collaborate helped keep operations running smoothly while Maintenance worked toward a solution.

Rose, Anna, and Jess are consistently recognized for being dependable, hardworking, cheerful, and always ready to help others.

MITAGS and the Maritime Conference Center are honored to celebrate the American Merchant Marine Veterans - AMMV leaders receiving the Merchant Marine Medal for Outstanding Achievement.

This recognition reflects a lifetime of service, leadership, and dedication to an industry that remains essential to our nation’s strength and security.

We are especially proud to recognize Captain Christopher Edyvean, a valued MITAGS instructor for many years, whose commitment to maritime education and preserving maritime history exemplifies the very best of our industry.

Congratulations also to Christian Yuhas, Darin Huggins, and Dru DiMattia on this well-deserved honor.

The work of these leaders — particularly their efforts in securing the Congressional Gold Medal for World War II Merchant Mariners — helps preserve the legacy and sacrifices of America’s merchant mariners for future generations.
