We offer Daily Fishing, Primitive Camping and Cabin Rentals. All of this on a beautiful private 80 acres Our focus is on providing a fantastic fishing experience. We have a very aggressive stocking program that keeps the fishing at a very high level. In 2022 we have stocked over 17,000 pounds of Catfish already. We offer Daily Fishing 24 hours a day. However, if you wish to fish after dark you mus

t be checked in by 9pm on the day that you arrive. The Cost to fish Mon-Thurs is only $20 Adults and $15 kids. Passes are good for up to 12 hours and you are allowed to keep 3 Catfish Each that are under 7 pounds when weighed with the net. You can also keep up to 25 Pan fish. Fish can be kept during all open Fishing times. We do offer competitive Catfish Fishing Tournaments every Friday and Saturday Nights from 6pm-10pm and on Sundays 1pm-5pm. Entries for these events vary, but they all have cash prizes for winning or placing in the event. All fish during the tournaments must be released. When you come you can catch as many Catfish as you like as long as you safely return the over-size fish. You are allowed to take photos of the Big Ones as long as you do not hold them off the ground or by the mouth, Please kneel behind the fish and place on the grass in front of you. Our Camp Store is open Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We can also open it up during the week by appointment. Customer Appreciation Thursday- Being the last week of the season we decided to open today for those that enjoy fishing during the week. We are open till dark Tonight. $25 Adults and $20 Kids. You can keep 3 Catfish under 7 pounds. Please bring cash for the self check in box and we have a net and scale out for you to use.

King Suite at Lodge- Only $199.99 per night is open Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday. Rent one night or multiple nights. Get passes for Catfish Acres and fish all day and then return to your own private Lodge only 3 miles away. Sleeps up to 4. Fishing Report & Rates- Once we hit Friday the gates will open at 8am and they will stay open till 9pm on Monday. As long as you arrive by 9pm on any of those days you can fish through the night. Fishing pressure has been light which should lead to a good weekend. We had one 2 day cabin group this week and they got a stringer of eating sized Catfish and released a 18, 34, and 24 pound Catfish. Chicken Livers with no weight working well on bottom and Yellow Neon Crawlers, and Monkey Bait.

St. Joe River Lodge & Retreat is owned by Dave & Candy Tefft same owners as Catfish Acres. It is only 3 miles from the Fishing location and sits on a beautiful 12 acres near the town of Litchfield. You can fish for the day and then have a beautiful private lodge to return too.

The Lodge is a truly unique property as it's log cabin design features a King Suite that sleeps up to 4 people that has its' own private key code entrance, bathroom, shower, coffee bar, big screen tv, dart board, recliner, bar with stools, refrigerator, microwave and more.

It also contains the Family Suite which has a king sized bed, 2 sets of bunk beds and access to two roll away beds. It also has a big screen Tv, board games, two bathrooms and a shower

The Lodge also features a large dining area, full sized bar, full kitchen with stove and refrigerator, dishware and utensils, dance floor , two large big screen tv's, and more.

The Entire Lodge Overnight- $499.99 per night. Sleeps up to 12 people has 3 Bathrooms and 2 showers. Includes use of both suites, dining area's and use of all the features the Lodge has inside and out. Non refundable $250 deposit required to secure date. Check in after 4pm on day of arrival. Check out 11am next day. If over 12 people it is considered an event and you must contact us for additional person rate.

2026 LITCHFIELD CATFISH ACRES SPECIAL AWARD WINNERS!

* Every year at the end of the season tourney at Catfish Acres we select individuals to Win the following special awards. These are individuals who bring something special to the table and make it enjoyable and fun to have them part of the Catfish Acres Family.

Man of the Year- Devin Curey .

Devin enjoys fishing at Catfish Acres and has competed for many years, but it is his willingness to always help and be part of Catfish Acres that makes him so special. He is a big reason that we are able to maintain a nice place to fish and camp. He is always on call to help with a repair, Fish Stocking, or new project .And many of the new improvements you see, he was a part of it.

Jason Farmer Competitive Spirit Award- Travis Johnson.

During Covid we lost long time friend and competitive angler Jason Farmer. Since then we have been giving out this award in his honor. Jason was a fierce competitor and was always finding ways to be more successful. He passed this on to other angler's and always maintained a healthy rivalry with them. Travis was a clear choice for this award because he put so much into the season and made every attempt to try and win the Championship Belt this year. But , he did it in such a positive way. He is always willing to help others at the pond and he as well maintained a healthy relationship with the other fishermen hovering by him in the standings.

Sportsman Award- James Burk not pictured

If you have ever taken the opportunity to talk to James you will know why he won this award. He is very competitive but he does it in a very sportsmanlike way. We have never had any issues with him and he passes his great spirit on to others. He often with his work schedule has to arrive late and he never complains about having to find a spot to fish. He just makes the best of it and always finds a way to do well. James starting bringing his boys to the tournaments this year and you can see that he has passed on the skills and sportsmanship to them as well.

Collin has been coming to Catfish Acres with his Dad and brother for many years. Although he has always been successful in catching fish, he made some big strides this year. He finished 10th place overall in the points this year, and 3rd place in a very competitive Kids Division. Collin is a great Kid who is always enjoyable to be around at Catfish Acres

Pride of the Pond Awards- We selected Three this year. These go to individuals who show great pride in competing at Catfish Acres and bring a special spirit along with them.

Austin & Heather Meredith- This was their first year fishing at Catfish Acres and they live quite a distance so it has been a big commitment to come up to fish on a regular basis. Heather qualified for the Championship early in the season, but after several attempts Austin still had not qualified. They never gave up and a few weeks ago Austin made it to the final Tourney. They made the most of it by both placing in the Championship Early Bird and Austin won one of the Big Fish of the hours at the championship and was 5th overall.

Trina Horn- She also comes a great distance to compete, as she is from Indiana. When Trina is entered in the tourney everyone better be ready because she is going to bring it. She is always so nice to everyone, but the enjoyment and pride she shows in fishing at Catfish Acres is very special. Trina made a great run at trying to be the Women's Champion this year, but fell just a little short. She won the Best 5 side pot the night before at Catfish Treasure Chest and won the Women's division at the Championship. She finished 6th overall. She finished 14 points behind champion Natasha Stahl for the Championship.

Josh Dennis - He has been coming out to Catfish Acres for as long as I can remember, and he is always smiling. Even on a day when the fish are not biting, Josh is having a good time with his friends and family. Over the years he has placed and done well in some tournaments, but he also enjoys making several fun fishing trips to Catfish Acres throughout the Summer. He is just absolute pleasure to be around and his pride and energy for Catfish Acres brings something special.

* Sunday You Can Get a All Day Fishing Pass for only $35 and you can keep 5 Catfish under 7 pounds weighed in the net instead of 3. If you limit out you can purchase another $35 pass and keep 5 more. We Will be offering Fish Cleaning Sunday as well for only $2.00 per Catfish

* Or Get a All Day Catch & Release Pass for only $20. We are open from 9am to 9pm.

* Our Catch & Keep Pond will be open Too. It is only $5.00 each to fish it and you keep the Catfish you catch at only 4.99 per pound.

* Fishing Report: We had a very Good Championship Tourney on Saturday night. Over 50 anglers brought in over 120 Catfish . Travis Johnson won the $1000 1st prize with 81.7 # for his 5 Fish. Eric Coley was 2nd at 68.5 # $500, and John King 3rd $300 55.2 #

The Camp Store will be open All Day Sunday. We have live Bait, Tackle, Rod and Reels, Snacks, Cold Drinks , Rod Rentals and more.
