There is always something to see and do regardless of the season! The campsites are spaciously located within the forest area for your nature enjoyment.

Ridge Rider Campground, formerly Little Orleans Campground, is located on 222 acres of beautiful woodlands in the Upper Potomac River valley in Western Maryland and provides a total camping experience. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table and each RV site has electric, water, and sewer. The Chespeake & Ohio Canal is located beside the Potomac River 1/2 mile to the south for additional hiking, biking, and horseback riding. There is also a boat ramp at that point on the river that is ideal for canoes and small craft. There are local outfitters available to help you with your needs; please check the local links. Immediately to the north of the campground is the 43,000-acre Green Ridge State Forest which offers numerous hiking trails and scenic spots as well as mountain biking trails that have been developed nearby. Fifteen-mile Creek runs through the property and is a stocked trout stream. For little ones, there is a small fishing pond located by the main facility complete with ducks! ATV trails are available in nearby Pennsylvania's Buchanan State Forest.

TRICK-OR-TREATING ROUTE! Starting from the Pavilion, we'll walk through P-section (nightly camping), then down Green Forest Dr all the way back to the Camp Store. Candy Stations can set up anywhere along the route. See you soon!

Visit the Pumpkin Stand, courtesy of Yonkers Farms Little Orleans, and get some Fall pumpkins for your home! Decorate, make pies, etc. Prices range from $1 to $3. (**These are NOT the pumpkins for the Pumpkin Carving and Painting activity tomorrow!)

POWER OUTAGE UPDATE: Potomac Edison now estimates restoration to be around MIDNIGHT.

Power is OUT in the whole campground, most likely due to the heavy rains. Power Co has been contacted and first estimate for restoration is 5pm. THAT WILL MOST LIKELY CHANGE! Please be patient, as this is out of our control. We'll update as we can. THANK YOU!
