Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club

Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club The purpose of the Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club, lnc. is to stimulate and advance the general welfare and safety of snowmobiling, to serve the interests

Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club is located in North Central Pennsylvania just off Route 44 on “Reeders Addition Lane” approximately 5.5 miles north of Haneyville. Unlike most snowmobile clubs we are a sleep in member owned club. The current club house (called Hyner Mountain Lodge) was built entirely by our members in 1990. These members formerly comprised the Elimsport Snowmobile Club, which decide

d to seek a snowier site to build a “sleep-in” club house. The “Lodge” is a 24’ X 60’, two story building, which can sleep 46 Members. It has a beautiful mountain stone fireplace, large living room, snow room for gear, large eat in kitchen with wood burning stove, two screened in porches, and 4 bathrooms to accommodate a full house during snowmobiling and other Club activities. The Lodge is on land adjoining Sproul State Forest and has direct access to hundreds of miles of the North Central Snowmobile trail system. Although Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club is primarily a snowmobile club, there are plentiful hunting opportunities right out the door, and some of Pennsylvania’s finest trout fishing streams are just a short distance away. Also just down the road is easy access to the 57 plus mile Pine Creek Rail Trail bicycling trail. The Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club is truly a year-round recreational delight.

The gentleman that plowed our lane to Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club, Reeder's Addition Lane, is having equipment problems this year and we will need someone else. Our lane is just past Reeder's Tavern, along SR 44. On the other side of the road from the tavern. If you are interested please message me on this site and I will provide more information.

Thank you!

I was out earlier and give the trail/roads a 7 out of 10. Elevation is your best choice with really nice roads off the pipeline near the canyon. I got to scratch the itch and a lot of rocks.

Got Gas Update January 27, 2025

Heartfelt thanks to all who continue to support us in our journey to get the gas pumps replaced and brought up to the second decade of the current millennia. The long-awaited decision from DCNR on our September grant application was received last week. Unfortunately, they did not award us a grant.

The EPA has been extremely gracious in working with us as we awaited the decision. While this is disappointing, we are prepared to resubmit application for consideration in March 2025. Considering the decision and without a solid plan for mitigation we will defer to the subject matter expertise and guidance of the EPA. As such, upon liquidation of the current inventory in our tank, White Pine will discontinue the sale of gasoline until such time as a definitive plan that meets with EPA approval is obtained.

We are open to any suggestions of sources to assist in this project. If you know of any grant sources that we could seek please let us know. If any of the sports clubs for whom this project will benefit can be of assistance or join us in the project, please let us know. If there is an “angel” in the wings who would like to assist in underwriting the project, we await your appearance. As we are beginning a new year calendar we will be searching diligently for opportunities in the public and private arena.

Thankfully we are approaching the one-year anniversary of our arrival in the community. We have been challenged but each time we emerge stronger and more resolved to keep Germania on the map and contribute to her prosperity.
Your continued prayers and outreach to our trusted public servants to direct attention to this need is as always appreciated.

More to come……
