::Our Mission at Jay Bear’s Retreat::
Jay Bear’s Retreat is home to The Jaxon House and one cozy cabin, Three Pines Cabin. While the treehouse cabins provide a unique getaway for all, we have a very special mission at Jay Bear’s Retreat: “Giving families of special needs children the opportunity to make memories while enjoying all nature has to offer.” Our son, nicknamed Jay Bear, was born 14 weeks premature and spent the first 5 months of his life in the NICU. Our family knows firsthand how important it is to spend time together, but how difficult it can be with so many doctor and therapy appointments. Once a month we offer a family with a special needs child a free getaway to make new memories that will last a lifetime. As we grow, we plan to expand and use a portion of the rental income to build a third treehouse that will be used 100% for these special families.

Every $10 donated = 1 raffle entry, with 100% of the donations benefiting Nationwide Children's through Ryan’s Columbus Marathon fundraiser.

This fundraiser is part of Callen’s Corner, a marathon team created in honor of Callen during his battle with leukemia. The team continues in Callen’s memory, raising money for the hospital that cared for him and his family.

Our friend, Ryan Harris, is taking on the this October to help raise money for Nationwide Children's, and we’re excited to support him along the way!

One of our biggest goals at Jay Bear’s Retreat has always been to support families of children with special needs. Hospitals like Nationwide Children’s provide life-changing care and support to thousands of children and their families every year, so this is a cause that means a lot to us.
