Procter Center Procter offers retreats, camps, and events along these lines. Procter Center does this work through our farm, camp, and retreat center.

As a ministry of the Diocese of Southern Ohio, Procter Center witnesses to the Good News of God’s love by embodying and teaching creation care, spiritual growth, hospitality, and belonging. As a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, the mission of Procter Center is to embody and teach creation care, spiritual development, belonging, and hospitality as we work to become Beloved Community together.

Help us welcome Ninelihle (Nina) to Procter and The Commonage, our Episcopal Service Corps program here on the farm!
Nina says that she joined The Commonage because:
“I am attracted to a year of formation and service with The Commonage because service has been part of my life from a young age. Growing up in Beitbridge, Zimbabwe, within the Lutheran Church, I watched my family welcome migrants and refugees into our home and learned that faith is not only something we believe, but something we live through how we serve others. My experiences in community development, education, and faith-based service have continued to shape that understanding. At this stage of my life, I am especially drawn to the opportunity to slow down, listen, and learn. I want to live in community with people whose experiences are different from mine, serve alongside local communities, and deepen my understanding of what it means to accompany others rather than simply serve them.”

Canon Julie Murray and our Co-Executive Jerusalem Greer had the best time picking flowers for CCD at the Fisher’s Farm/ Bloom K Flowers ! The Fishers are one of the local families that raises the sheep you see at Procter and we loved getting to support their pick-your-own stand!

Recently, during our first ever Alumni Campover, campers and staff gave back to camp, by helping with special projects all over Procter! By far the most popular camp was picking hundreds of pounds of apples which were used in a variety of ways by the farm and kitchen! And of course, in true Procter style, there was also some good post-projects resting. It’s such a blessing when campers and guests serve camp with love and joy - we are truly grateful for everyone’s help!
