More dig dates are tentatively scheduled through May 15, depending on marine toxin test results.

WDFW reminds beachgoers to avoid disturbing nesting snowy plovers by staying out of the dunes and posted areas along the southwest coast. Other ways to help protect these endangered shorebirds include keeping pets leashed and not leaving leftover food or trash on the beach and picnic areas, as this attracts predators.
