The 24 Lodge Lock-In is complete.
On Friday at 7:00 PM, the Brethren of SV23 locked themselves in the building for a full 24 hours. The time was well spent and packed with meaningful and fun activities.
To kicked things off, we started with an EA degree, where WB Roger was able to initiate his little Brother into the fraternity. After the degree, we played board games, smoked ci**rs, shared stories and told jokes in the Lodge room, and participated in a Lakota ceremony at 1am in the morning. We didn’t get to sleep until 4:30 AM 😳
We woke up and enjoyed some breakfast burritos, played more games, watched movies, and did some cleaning. The evening concluded with a wonderful catered dinner and an amazing lecture by our guest speaker from the MW Grand Lodge of Texas, WB Robert William Marshall.
To end the event, we drew names to see who was the winner of our custom painted apron drawing - and the winner was Bro. Brett Banfe! He exercised true charity when he turned right around and gifted this beautiful apron to our guest speaker 🙏
We didn’t get everything accomplished that we had hoped/planned for this lock-in, but our goals should never (and will never) come at the expense of things which are more important. Personal and Mental Health is a priority for us, and we will continue to monitor ourselves and each other while we reach for greatness!
Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in all of our events thus far. I am extremely grateful for and proud of every member of this Lodge, and I am also grateful for all the friends I have made along the way. We have had an amazing first half to year - with an average attendance of 32 people per meeting! If anything is obvious to me, it is that St. Vrain is STRONG!
Enjoy the summer! We will resume our labors when we come back in September. God Bless Everyone and God Bless SV23!
