Being pet friendly isn't just about welcoming four-legged guests, it's about understanding today's traveler.

According to Hilton's 2026 Trends Report, 64% of travelers search for pet-friendly accommodations when planning their trips, and “pet-friendly” is now the fifth most popular search filter on Hilton.com.

The American Pet Products Association reports another telling statistic: among dog owners who travel with their dogs, 87% traveled by car with them in the past year.

Those numbers represent real demand and an opportunity for hotels.

That's one of the reasons Lodging Host makes it a point for our hotels to welcome pets whenever possible. Small operational decisions that respond to changing guest preferences can broaden a property's potential customer base, remove barriers to booking, and create a more welcoming guest experience.

Our Cambria Hotel Northlake Conference Center – Roanoke is a great example. Guests don't have to choose between their trip and bringing their best friend along.

New sign, same friendly faces, exciting new chapter!

After months of renovations, updates, and plenty of hard work behind the scenes, the former Comfort Suites La Porte today officially becomes the Garner Hotel La Porte – Bay Area by IHG.

This transformation brings a fresh new look and enhanced guest experience while keeping the welcoming service and dedicated team our guests know and trust.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this project across the finish line—from our property team to our corporate support staff and ownership partners. Your hard work made this transition possible.

We're excited to welcome guests to the newest Garner Hotel in the area and look forward to everything ahead.
