One of the reasons we make breakfast so delicious is that people just don't want to get out of our comfortable beds in the morning. A few people have written in the reviews that they had the best night of sleep they've had in a long time (or ever)!

Your probably know by now that 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, which means everyone in the U.S. got an extra hour. Our official recommendation is that you either spend that hour sleeping in, or at least spend it in no particular hurry, ideally over a second cup of coffee and a breakfast that someone else cooked for you.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞!

Tonight, the porches glow and the Victorian mansions look their spookiest, while ghosts, goblins, vampires and ghouls roam the streets in search of candy. However you're spending Halloween, we hope it's a good one.

And if you want a front row seat next October to Halloween in one of America's most beautiful (and haunted) districts, you know where to find us

𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞!

October is one of the best times to be in Louisville and it's almost over! Because people tend to stay home for trick-or-treating, 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝! After this, we won't have a weekend room available until mid-December.

Explore Halloween events like the 𝐖𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦 and the 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤'𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥. Enjoy a curious cocktail at The 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 + 𝐄𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫 on Wh***ey Row. Or just stroll through the streets of America's Most Haunted Neighborhood at night and visit the Witch's Tree. During the day, you'll be treated to colorful trees and magnificent architecture.

Or, just relax in a luxury suite with an Old Fashioned in hand while the ghosts and goblins go all out for Halloween. And then start November on the right foot with an award-winning gourmet breakfast.

𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬? 𝐇𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭, 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐲, 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐞? There are no wrong answers! Tell us in the comments.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

The most misunderstood Halloween creature deserves a moment, and that is today. Black cats have been scapegoats for bad luck for centuries. That's nonsense. They are just cats who look great carved into a jack-o'-lantern!

It helps us remember that, whether it's black cats or a ghost named Annie, the spooky stuff during the Halloween season is more fun than scary! Especially when you have a luxury suite to retreat to at the end of the night.

Our guests are sleeping in one of 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚'𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝s!

No pressure. Old Louisville regularly appears on national lists of the most haunted historic districts in the USA, and this is the season when people come to look for it.

When you're here, add our Ghost Tour package and take a ghost walk through the lantern-lit streets of Old Louisville. You'll pass by the Gilded-Age mansions and hear their stories of scandal and tragedy. It's history with some entertaining dread, all within a few blocks of the Inn. Some say a ghost named Annie lives at the Louisville Bourbon Inn. Ask us about her story.

𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬, 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝'𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰!

For two weeks every November, Louisville is the place to be if you're into livestock. The 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 runs 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟓-𝟏𝟗. It's the 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝'𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥-𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰. Tens of thousands of people and animals will be exhibiting and competing for purple banners.

𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐔𝐒: Three nights of bull riding, barrel racing and more! The 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐨 takes place 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟐-𝟏𝟒.

We're proud to host NAILE guests every year. Some are showing, some are judging, and others just come for the rodeo. Long days on the green shavings deserve a quiet suite and a bourbon at night, and a gourmet breakfast to start the day right!

𝐇𝐨𝐰'𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞?

One of the reasons people come to Louisville is the number and variety of things to do; on the weekends and even during the week. Here are the 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐧, we like to highlight the big events 𝒂𝒏𝒅 some of the lesser-known experiences that can be a lot of fun.

If someone asked you to make a special Halloween drink, could you do it? If your answer is "No," there just happens to be a place in Louisville where you can remedy your cocktail-making skills deficiency.

It's called 𝐋𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐚𝐛, and they're offering 𝟗𝟎-𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 where you will make three suitably spooky Halloween cocktails. They will also teach you how to find that special shake or deliberate stir that makes your version unique.

And then what? Well, you'll drink them, of course! Small bites sourced from local providers are also served.

Classes are offered on the next two weekends before Halloween, with one class on Friday and two on Saturday. That's 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑 & 𝟐𝟒 and 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟎 & 𝟑𝟏. Tickets are $70 per person. Visit 𝐥𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐛 𝐝𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦 for class times and booking details.

Come to Louisville for some Halloween fun and take a new party skill home with you!

Don’t miss the 𝟏𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 this weekend, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔–𝟏𝟖!
For three nights only, Old Louisville’s past comes alive. Actors portray historical residents and legendary spirits, sharing stories of scandal, tragedy, and things that still go bump in the night. Keep an ear out for 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞, who some say has never left the 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐧.

Tours begin and end at the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐫𝐚𝐝-𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦, 1402 St. James Court. Allow about two hours, and arrive at least 15 minutes before your reserved time.

Tickets are 𝐒𝟒𝟎 per person, plus fees, and are nonrefundable. The event runs rain or shine, with possible rescheduling for severe weather.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭!

October isn't all orange and black! This month, we're including Pink at the 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐧 for 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡.

Our special cocktail is a 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧. The classic Pink Lady usually has gin, but we thought she might enjoy a little Kentucky enhancement.

There's more than one way to dress a Pink Lady! For the bourbon version, you can go sweet-tart with lemon and grenadine, give her a berry twist with raspberry, or add a splash of club soda for some sparkle. A cherry, a lemon curl and a fancy glass help accessorize the Pink Lady!

Behind the pink is something close to many hearts. We're thinking of everyone affected by breast cancer, the people who care for them, and those we remember with love.

We think Pink Lady's look right at home in bourbon country! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐬 𝐒𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬!

We decorated for Halloween yesterday, and the Inn is lit up in a fun and spooky way! We couldn't resist taking pictures after dark so you could see the lights in action. Have a look at these photos, but if you want the full effect, you have to come to the Inn!

There's so much going on in October. And while we were getting our pumpkins and ghosts together for Halloween, Christmas lights were already creeping into our conversation.

The Chicago-area 𝑫𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒅 just featured Louisville as a great holiday destination, with 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞, ice skating and shopping at 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧'𝐬 𝐅𝐞̂𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐞̈𝐥, and the 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫.

Writer Katherine Rodeghier singled out the 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐧, featured our photo, and highlighted our recognition as Tripadvisor's #𝟏 𝐁&𝐁 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 two years in a row!
