We got our 1st 1-star Google review this week from a local resident, Carrie, who chose 3 AM as the optimal time to call and ask about our business.

I provided very poor customer service at that time.

I responded to her review on Google honestly and have put the video version here for entertainment & educational purposes.

Carrie seems like a nice individual, and I do not want anyone to harass her in any way.

What’s the point of all of this (life) if not our relationships? We are all flawed and imperfect, and we all deserve grace. We can’t move through this world without being in relation to all other things, all other people, all other life. It’s time we start acting like it...

If you agree, leave a glowing review for a business you appreciate. Tell someone you love them. Speak your truth.😊

Guests book our place for a lot of reasons, some more unusual than others. We have now added, "to dance with a tiger" to that long list.

What'll your reason be? 😎

The Oasis is an enigma, inside and out. The building itself looks different from every angle, some sides revealing the 1904 American Foursquare construction, others dominated by the 1960s'-era additions. With the changing seasons and constantly-evolving landscaping, you never know what you might see when you adventure around the property. We consider all of it our in-progress masterpiece. Enjoy!

Who else's kids think the idea of an old wall telephone is terrifying?? 😂

We still have rooms available for Halloween night. That's one of the best nights for staying in a 121-year old former orphanage, don't you think? ❤️🔥😮

My Aunt Joy made flying fish mobiles for me and my sister when we were kids, probably 35 to 40 years ago, and my parents have kept them safe in our childhood home for all these years. Joy passed away in 2001. Last week my folks brought the fish here to the Oasis, where the mobiles can help spread Joy's joy exponentially.

Thanks and big hugs all around for everyone who has helped keep the Joy joy alive. ♥🥰
