My oh my. What was a simple fabrication turned into a concrete anchor nightmare. This simple railing sleeve project was delayed thanks to anchors not holding up their end of the bargain. Started out simple. Buy material from AAA Supply, lay out the design, drill the bolt holes, weld the sleeves and then weld to the old railing and install. But Noooo, multiple trips to the store and drilling new anchor holes in the concrete cost me alot of wasted time. Finally found a durable anchor at Tractor Supply, and I promise you, these railings aren't budging. The next owner will need a grinder to remove the railing. So at least today, finishing the stair run should go smoothly.
