Getting ready for The Best of Barren!

Glasgow, Kentucky is NUMBER 2 on the list...and I happen to know of an amazing little B&B that loves catering to their guests and has some openings in November.
If you are considering a little weekend away, let us help you put together a weekend you will not forget! 💛🥰

From quiet coastal escapes to mountain getaways with fall color, birding, and off-season charm, these small towns are especially appealing in November.

Merch Corner is filled with new colors, some super cozy long sleeves and our much loved Vermont maple syrup. 🍁

Today, we honor the memory of a local state trooper who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, who are enduring an immeasurable loss; to the community he served; and to his fellow troopers who stood beside him in service.

We recognize his courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to protecting others. His sacrifice will not be forgotten, and his legacy will endure in the lives he touched.

May he rest in peace, and may his family, colleagues, and community find strength and comfort in the days ahead.

With deepest respect and gratitude. 🇺🇸

The proposed ADDITIONAL tax and dissolution of the Travel & Tourism will impact us all. Growth and prosperity comes from the thousands who visit our beautiful community who support the small businesses and make Barren County a destination. Eliminating a whole team of experts who work tirelessly to bring those dollars in plus adding taxes is a short sighted solution that will negatively impact us all. I encourage you to attend tomorrow’s meeting, Tuesday, August 18th @ 9am at the fiscal annex building.

Every chance we get, we fill our baskets with fresh, local ingredients to bring back to Barren Breeze. Because there’s just something special about serving food that’s been either grown in our garden or by the hands of our neighbors.

Fresh ingredients. Local flavor. Meals made with a little extra heart. ❤️

We’ve all had one of those days…unleash a little fury, followed by some sweetness.

We’ve put in gardens filled with zinnias, wild flowers & lavender to keep the butterflies 🦋 & 🐝 happy. It also provides beautiful backdrop to weddings and keeps our rooms fresh & flower filled!
