Water Main Flushing Notice

Our DPW Team will be starting the summer flushing of water mains Wednesday, June 17th & Thursday, June 18th. The water main flushing will begin at 12:00 a.m. (midnight), running until approximately 6:00 a.m., each day.

This process will improve the water quality throughout the water systems. During and shortly after the process there may be some discoloration or sediment in the water.

The water discoloration is due to mineral deposits that are flushed through the system and there are no health hazards with the discolored water.

If discoloration occurs, run cold water for a few minutes and it should clear up. If the water discoloration does not clear up, please reach out to us at: 231-845-1277, ext. 238.
