Did you know the there’s an incredible National Wildlife Refuge just 20 minutes from Campfire Shores?!

It’s home to so many amazing species year-round and a critical stop-over to thousands more during migration.

One of our favorite’s is the Common Loon… but we all know there’s nothing ‘common’ about them. Their beautiful, unmistakable call is the quintessential sound of the North Woods. If you’re in the area come learn more about these beauties this Thursday.

Our recent guests took their stay at Campfire Shores to the next level to celebrate a special birthday! They stayed in one of our eco-domes and set up their very own mini dome right out front—complete with a tent, art work, cozy rugs, and lights. It was the cutest little setup.
