The historic home is nestled at the foothills of Kansas Flint Hills, featuring beautiful farming and wooded areas that make for a relaxing retreat and breathtaking views and photo opportunities. Facilities and Capacity
The main floor of the Country Estate can be used for smaller events of up to 50 guests, with three dining rooms, while the Sunset Deck and Wrap around Porch enhance the enjoyment of the outdoors surrounding it. The two Rustic Barns are utilized for dinner parties and larger receptions. The Big Barn can seat up to 225 people inside, with additional seating space on the patios. There is adequate space for Vendors and dancing either inside the Barn, or on the Patios. The Rustic Reception Area in the Granary can seat up to 120 people, 60 in each Corn Crib, with space for dancing and mingling in the center drive path, and on the covered patio that is attached. There are also open outdoor areas for parking and ceremonies with up to 300 guests. Many assorted rustic amenities, including the old corral fence, the bed swing, the Hillbilly Photo Booth, and benches and swings provide the backdrop for some of your other Wedding Day moments and photographs. If you choose to turn your Wedding Day into a Wedding Weekend, this 17 room Colonial Estate is charmingly decorated, featuring a large kitchen and utility room with modern appliances. It also comes with an outdoor grill, 6 bedrooms, three additonal sleeping rooms in the Attic, 3 showers, wrap around porch, and a large patio. We have the ability to accommodate a large group of families and friends overnight, but suggest a limit of 16 adults. There is a playground for children, and outdoor toys for their pleasure, but children are expected to be supervised at all times. Location
Keene Road Country Estate is equal distance from Manhattan and Lawrence with all of the cultural and educational activities located in between. It is just minutes from Topeka, the Kansas Historical Museum, Gage Park and Zoo, Washburn University, the Kansas Capitol, and many other attractions. This venue provides guests with a convenient location that is surrounded by lakes, parks, theaters, other attractions, and shopping areas that are all within a 60 mile radius. It is three minutes from a gas and convenience store, and a Subway restaurant.
