So sorry for no update.
We have been busy cleaning up our Little Piece of Paradise.
We have found some familiar treasures that you might recognize. Check out some of the photos.
It’s mostly all here just rearranged a little bit.
And at the end of the day when we stop working and look up.... the beauty is still here.

Some positives to look forward to....
you can walk from the beach straight out to the sand bar on hard sand.
Rooms 2 & 3 has an even better view and will each have a great private entrance.
All ground floor rooms will have new .... everything!
There’s more sand than grass now at the beach house.
There is green growing all around us, life coming back every day. And I hear the fish are biting too !

At this point, We have the Beach House cleaned out and ready for the next step and we just started the main floor of the hotel.

We would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers who have helped us so much. With them comes positivity and accomplishment. You make us feel great and want to keep going. !!
Thank you so much for all your help. We cannot thank you enough!!

We will be back! Better than ever!

NPR's Kelly McEvers talks with Rachel Price, owner of the White Sands Inn, a beachfront hotel in Marathon, Fla. Price left the Keys last Thursday ahead of Hurricane Irma and is now trying to assess the damage of her home and business.

First we would like to thank everyone for their calls, emails and messages over social media. We are very sorry we haven't been able to get back with everyone in a timely manner. We are safe and had evacuated ourselves after seeing Irma's final path.
Thanks to Adam Bounds for being curious and brave to leave his island to explore the destruction of Irma and taking some great photos of our beautiful place.
Now we know what we are coming home to and can plan what we need to bring with us to start rebuilding right away.
Thanks to Karin Johnson for doing such a great story on our local hometown of Cincinnati/Northern KY NBC affiliate WLWT Channel 5 news.
I will share all the photos after this post.
We will keep you all posted on our rebuiling efforts to make your paradise beautiful again.

A woman's dream crushed by Irma's wrath

Florida is under there somewhere.
Please don't let a little Hurricane discourage you from visiting our state in the near future. We are resilient and still beautiful!

Thank you all for all your calls and concerns. So sorry we haven't been able to answer your calls and reply. We have been working hard to try and protect your paradise!!
White Sands Inn has been secured and is battened down ready for Irma.
Not sure what we will endure with this storm but one thing is for sure this hotel has great customers who become fabulous friends and family. Thank you again for supporting us.

Our office is packed in the car.
So please be patient with us for refunds and replies. We will reconnect with you as soon as we outrun the storm.

We hope our south Florida "Regulars" are staying dry and safe during this storm. We're thinking of you. If you need to escape, we still have two rooms open this weekend.
