LODGING STILL AVAILABLE! You can view the migrating waterfowl at one of their favorite water stops just outside your window

Do you hear a few extra birds chirping this morning? The NEXRAD radar network around the country picked up on a lot of birds flying north to northeast last night with a favorable wind just above the surface. More than 100 million birds were in flight last night, which is a big number for this early in the season. Sparrows, ducks, and Canadian geese made up the majority of the birds in flight this far north. While 100 million is a lot of birds, we will see 2x to 3x this number by late April and May. May 8th to the 17th is the Biggest Week In American Birding here in northwest Ohio.
