Well... The retaining wall project we started a couple of weeks ago is finished!! Complete with a few rolls of sod to keep the rain water under control. A couple of nights ago we had a storm roll thru and it had its first test... It all passed with flying colors!! It did a good job and it's pretty back there, too.

The calendar is ready to flip into September. That means several things... The air is getting cooler, the bugs are fewer, the leaves on the trees are beginning to turn, kids are heading back to school. September is the perfect time to come up to Minnesota's beautiful North woods for a relaxing end of the season vacation.

We have cabins available at our discounted fall rates. Boats are still available for rent so you can do some fall fishing or take a gorgeous sunset cruise on the lake.

Time is ticking away... Summer's end is on the horizon. But, it's not over yet!!! There is still time to get away to rest, relax and enjoy Northern Minnesota.

My 88 year old mother took a tumble today and broke her wrist. I took her to the ER at Bigfork Valley Hospital. I want to say, they were absolutely fabulous. They were very thorough, gentle and friendly to me and my mom. To all the staff at the hospital, we send out a huge Thank You. Mom is doing well tonight and we trust she will be back to her energetic self in no time at all.

On Monday, we had a semi-severe thunderstorm roll thru here. No damage, but it rocked and rolled for an hour or two. Our friend, Lee, caught a nice 46 incher that we posted a couple days ago. During the storm, he was chomping at the bit to get back out on the lake. He wasn't expecting much because he assumed the fish would be affected by the storm. Well, after the storm passed, he headed out to give it a shot. It didn't take long before he hooked into this monster. A 52 INCHER!! It was the catch of a lifetime!!
If you are a muskie fisherman, this is the place you want to be! Give me a call and we will get you set up later this summer or this fall.
