When we opened our second Yummy Treats location at Ontario Center, we knew it would be a little different from our Downtown Marion store—and we LOVE that.

Ontario has given us the opportunity to dream bigger, invest more and create an entirely different candy-store experience. And we’re not done yet!

Our expansion is currently being built, and here’s just SOME of what’s coming:

🍦 A commercial kitchen
🥤 Root b**r floats
🧊 SLUSHIES!
🍬 Bulk candy like peach rings, gummy worms & more
🌈 Pucker Bits—sweet AND sour crunchy candy bits you can fill your own tubes with
🧸 Build-a-Stuffy, where you’ll be able to choose, stuff and adopt your own new friend
🍭 And, of course, MORE CANDY!

We have invested heavily into this location because we believe in continuing to make Yummy Treats better, more interactive and more FUN.

And something pretty special happened recently.

Sadly, another small candy business is closing its doors. They reached out to us about purchasing some of their equipment and inventory. While we’re sad to see another small business close, we’re incredibly grateful that they thought of Yummy Treats and gave us an opportunity to invest in our growth while helping them recoup some of their investment. ❤️

Small businesses helping small businesses—that means something to us.

It also brought back an idea I’ve talked about before: an Ohio Small Candy Store Trail.

I’d love to connect independent, mom-and-pop candy stores across Ohio with three locations or fewer and encourage people to visit ALL of us.

Because here’s the thing: another independent candy store isn’t necessarily our competition.

Your store probably carries things we don’t. We probably carry things you don’t. That’s what makes visiting independent candy stores FUN! We each have our own personality, products and experiences.

So if you own a small independent candy store in Ohio and would like to be part of a future Small Candy Store Trail, reach out to us! 🍬 We’d love to work together to help people discover more of Ohio’s locally owned candy businesses.

Meanwhile, we’re going to keep investing, building and dreaming.

💗 Downtown Marion will always be our home base and Yummy Treats headquarters, with experiences unique to Marion.

🩵 Ontario Center is growing into something completely different—and we cannot WAIT for you to see what we’re building.

Two stores. Two different experiences. One Yummy Treats. 🍭

40x60 with tables and chairs we just finished. Had big sister Sheryl Layne and Dayne's help with this one. And of course, Jessica, Kayla, Richard, and Bre. I wouldn't be doing any of these set ups if it wasn't for these guys they're awesome.
