THEY TRIED TO BREAK ME. I BUILT SOMETHING THEY COULDN’T DESTROY🖤🔥
With the season coming close to an end I find myself reflecting…
Six years ago, I took a chance on a place that most people wouldn’t have given a second look.
It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t popular. It wasn’t a destination.
It was a vision that existed in my head long before anyone else could see it.
And I went ALL IN.💪
What people see today is Dragon City.🐉
What they don’t see is what it took to build it.
They didn’t see the sleepless nights. The sacrifices. The financial risks. The tears I wiped away before walking back out with a smile.
They didn’t see the countless hours I worked after everyone else went home.
They didn’t see the moves I was making behind closed doors while the world thought I was standing still.
And they certainly didn’t see the battles I was fighting just to keep going.
I’ve been attacked.
I’ve been harassed.
I’ve been stalked.
I’ve had my safety threatened
I’ve been betrayed by people I trusted.
I’ve had my character assassinated by people who have made it their mission to see me fail.
I’ve watched people who once sat at my table turn around and try to tear down everything I worked to build.
But here’s what they underestimated…
They thought they were fighting a business.
They didn’t realize they were fighting a woman who doesn’t know how to quit.🤷♀️
And somewhere along the way, something extraordinary happened.
While I was busy building Dragon City…
I was unknowingly building a brand around MYSELF.
I didn’t set out to become someone people recognized.
I didn’t set out to have strangers walk through my doors just to shake my hand, give me a hug, or ask to take a picture with me.
I didn’t set out to build an army of people who would defend me when I wasn’t even in the room.
But that’s exactly what happened.
People from across the country and around the world now know Dragon City.
A place that was once overlooked has become a destination.
SIX YEARS.
Six years of blood, sweat, tears, sacrifices, calculated risks, and refusing to accept that something couldn’t be done.
And through it all, I’ve learned one of the most valuable lessons of my life.
You can spend your entire life trying to destroy someone’s reputation, but you cannot erase the impact they’ve made on people who know their heart.
For every person who has tried to tear me down, there have been countless others who have lifted me up.
Customers who became friends.
Friends who became family.
Veterans who found a place where they felt welcomed, respected, and appreciated.🇺🇸
Strangers who became some of my biggest supporters.
People who have stood beside me, defended me, encouraged me, and reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.
YOU are the reason Dragon City is what it is today.
And I need you to understand something…
I see you.
I appreciate you.🫶
And I will NEVER forget the people who stood beside me when standing beside me wasn’t the popular thing to do.
Because loyalty means something to me.
And so does character.
To those who have supported me, whether you’ve spent $5 or $5,000, shared a post, defended my name, brought a friend, or simply stopped in to say hello…

You helped turn a vision into something bigger than I ever imagined.
And to those who have spent years trying to bring me down…
I have no interest in fighting you.
I’ve been too busy building the very thing you’ve been trying to destroy.
The difference between us is simple.
Some people dedicate their time to tearing things apart.
Others dedicate their lives to building something worth remembering.
I know which one I am.
And if these last six years have taught me anything, it’s this…
You don’t build a legacy by having an easy road. You build one by refusing to let the hard road defeat you.
Dragon City may have started as a business.
But it became a community.
It became a family.
It became a destination.
It became a name recognized far beyond the mountains of Tennessee.
And somewhere in the middle of all that chaos…
I became someone even I didn’t know I was capable of becoming.
I’m proud of what I’ve built.
I’m even prouder of what I’ve survived.
But what means the most to me?
The people who chose to be part of this journey.
Because buildings can be replaced.
Businesses can change hands.
Money can come and go.
But the lives you touch, the relationships you build, and the legacy you leave behind… THAT is real success.
And as for my story?💋
Don’t mistake six years of accomplishments for the end of the journey.
