❤️ MEET THE CREW MONDAY — SARA! ❤️
Well, folks… this week's victim has been trying to avoid the hot seat since we started this whole thing. 😂
Meet SARA! ❤️
Sara is our Assistant Operations Manager, Sabrina's right hand, and quite honestly, one of the people who keeps this whole operation running.
She came to Creekside when she was just 17 years old. Today she's 21, a homeowner, an incredible young leader, and someone we absolutely couldn't imagine Creekside without.
But here's the funny part…
Sara has been DREADING this interview. 😂
She's not one to put her personal business out there, and she was pretty convinced she might be the one employee who could somehow escape Meet the Crew Monday.
Sorry, Sara. Nobody's safe. 😂
🎤 SARA IN THE HOT SEAT
😂 1. First things first! You've been dreading this interview since we started Meet the Crew Monday. On a scale of 1–10, how badly do you want to get up and walk away right now?
➜ "I thought I was going to be the only one to get away with not doing this."
😂 Nice try, Sara. We've been waiting for this one!
🏡 2. You started working at Creekside when you were just 17. How old are you now, and what made you stick around all these years?
➜ "I'm 21, and it's the atmosphere and it feeling like a family here. And the opportunities that I've been given to grow in the business."
❤️ 3. You've practically grown up at Creekside. What's the biggest thing you've learned since your very first shift?
➜ "That it is good to talk to people even when you don't want to or aren't comfortable with it, because it makes you more of an outgoing person. It is a good life skill."
And watching Sara grow in confidence over the years has been pretty incredible. ❤️
🍺 4. You're one of our most dependable employees. What's your secret to keeping your cool when everyone around you is losing their minds?
➜ "I don't keep my cool. I just go freak out in the b**r room all by myself, collect myself, then come out and portray that everything is okay. Or I just wait to go home and scream at Charlie about everything that happened."

Apparently the b**r room doubles as Sara's emotional support room.
And poor Charlie gets the end-of-day recap. 😂
🍗 5. What's your favorite thing on the Creekside menu?
➜ "Our Honey Wh***ey BBQ Wings."
🙋♀️ 6. As Creekside's Assistant Ops Manager, you probably hear 'Sara, I have a question…' about 47 times a day. What's the ONE question you wish people would figure out the answer to BEFORE coming to find you?
➜ "WHERE DOES THIS GO?"

And the best part? She answered that one without a SECOND of hesitation.
Apparently Sara has spent a considerable amount of her life explaining where things belong. 😂
🙄 7. You've been at Creekside a long time, and working side by side with ownership every day means you know them pretty darn well. So when someone pulls the classic 'I know the owners' line, what's the first thought that goes through your head?
➜ "So do I. Why don't you call them down here?"

🎄 8. What's your favorite part about working at Creekside?
➜ "I love doing the events. I like being able to get creative and decorate."
And if you've ever attended one of our weddings or special events, there's a good chance Sara has had a hand in bringing it all together. ❤️
❤️ 9. If 17-year-old Sara could see you working at Creekside today, what do you think she'd say?
Sara teared up a little as she answered this one. ❤️
➜ "I'm so proud of you for achieving all your goals."
And Sara, you should be. ❤️
Sometimes you don't realize just how far you've come until someone asks you to look back at where you started.
And this girl has come a LONG way. ❤️
💻 10. What's one thing your coworkers do that makes you just stop, stare, and question how they've survived this long?
➜ "Still not knowing how to use Toast."

For those who don't know, Toast is our point-of-sale system.
Apparently some of our employees are still treating it like advanced rocket science.
😂 11. Who at Creekside is most likely to get you laughing when you're trying REALLY hard to be serious?
➜ "Jasmine. She has the best stories."
Well, Jasmine IS our resident class clown, so that tracks. 😂
🏡 12. What's something about you that might surprise people—but that you're actually willing to share with Facebook?
➜ "I bought my first house at 21! I AM A NEW HOMEOWNER!"

🔥 13. You've seen a lot of people come and go over the years. What's something that makes a coworker someone you genuinely enjoy working with?
➜ "Not completely freaking out when everything feels like a dumpster fire. Being a coworker that has the ability to push through."
😂 Coming from the girl who just admitted she occasionally retreats to the b**r room to collect herself, we appreciate the honesty!
But seriously, that's a pretty great quality in a teammate.
🟢 14. THE GAME SHOW QUESTION: If you had to pick one Creekside coworker to compete with you on a game show where every wrong answer gets you both slimed, who are you choosing—and how covered in slime do you think you'd end up?
➜ "Nadine. And hopefully all the questions are about horse stuff. If not, we'd just laugh our way through being slimed."

Apparently the entire strategy is to hope for horse trivia and accept defeat otherwise.
🥗 15. What's the funniest thing you've witnessed at Creekside that you're actually allowed to tell us about?
➜ "It wasn't funny in the moment, but looking back, when I dropped ranch all over a customer's back."
OH, SARA. 😂😂😂
We feel like that's one of those moments where you just stand there wishing you could disappear.
🎤 16. OFF THE WALL: You're offered $1 MILLION, but for the rest of your life, every time you enter a room, one Creekside coworker of your choosing appears and loudly announces your arrival. Who are you picking, and what ridiculous introduction do they have to give you?
➜ "Oh God… I'd say Jasmine, just because she is funny. And she can pick the introduction because it would be better than anything I can come up with."

Can you IMAGINE Jasmine being responsible for announcing Sara's arrival everywhere she goes?!
We'd pay good money to witness that just once.

We asked a few of Sara's coworkers what they had to say about her, and their answers really show just how much respect and love this girl has earned.

💬 Rose: "When Sara started at Creekside, I knew she was going to be successful. Her knowledge and ambition toward work were hardcore. Lots of humor and laughs, though. Love her with all my heart. Rock on, Sara!" ❤️
💬 Ed: "Sara means BUSINESS! She is on top of her JOB!! Just a breath of fresh air to work with, and she tries to get everyone engaged with every aspect of the restaurant. It is a pleasure to work with her." ❤️
And that really sums Sara up.
She's respected, she's loved, and she has earned every bit of the responsibility she carries today.

Where do we even begin with Sara?
When Sara first came to work at Creekside, she was just 17 years old. A kid, really.
She attended her prom right here at Creekside. She was so young that we had to carry alcoholic drinks to her tables because she wasn't even old enough to serve them herself. 😂
But even back then, there was something different about Sara.
She had the work ethic, maturity, and business sense of someone twice her age.
And as time went on, it became more and more obvious that this girl was something special.
We started giving her more responsibility. First came scheduling. Then alcohol ordering. Then food ordering. Then she started helping coordinate weddings.
And no matter what we put in front of her, there was absolutely nothing this girl couldn't figure out.
She sees problems before they happen. She's always thinking ten steps ahead. She goes the extra mile without being asked, and she is the living definition of "If you see something, do something."
Last year, we desperately needed an assistant. We had been looking for someone with the right skills, and we just couldn't find the person we needed.
Then it occurred to us…
The person we were looking for was already here. ❤️
So we pulled Sara out of the dining room and started teaching her everything we could about running the business.
And it was one of the best decisions we've ever made.
Sara didn't just step into the role. She absolutely flourished.
There were things we taught her, and there were plenty of things we had to figure out together. And honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better person to learn them with.
Today, Sara is our Assistant Operations Manager, Sabrina's right hand, and one of the most trusted people in our entire operation.
She has incredible business savvy, isn't afraid to tackle new challenges, and has grown into someone the entire crew turns to for answers and guidance.
And that's another part of her story that makes us smile.
We remember the young girl who wasn't always comfortable talking to people. Now look at her. She's helping lead a team, solving problems, making decisions, and handling responsibilities that would overwhelm plenty of people with twice her experience.
We couldn't be prouder of the woman she's become.
We've watched Sara grow from a teenager into an incredibly capable, hardworking, intelligent young woman. And somewhere along the way, she became so much more than an employee.
She became family.
Sara is an old soul, one of a kind, and someone we genuinely couldn't imagine running Creekside without.
We trust her. We depend on her. We admire her.
But more than anything, we love her like a daughter. ❤️
And watching her grow into the woman and leader she is today has been one of the greatest privileges of owning this business.
We are so incredibly proud of you, Sara. More than you probably know. ❤️
